WORKS 11100000%. best is to just glue the transponder onto the location where it works the best. I've found in between the actual ignition cylinder & Shift stick
Hey I just changed the ignition switch from my 04 Ford ranger I lost the key so I couldn't remove the ignition switch so I used a drill bit to drill the pin out then I used a screw driver to turn the ignition I have a new ignition switch but now I've lost the ball pin that goes in the bottom But my question is could I use a screw where the original ball pin went to hold my ignition switch in place?
How to do it without theno-chip key? My ign lock doesn't want to turn (worn out). Thinking of removing the lock, removing the tumblers, replacing the lock, and trying it that way (after I get a new lock and key set). I have both original keys. Other question is where in the heck can I find a set with a lock that is identical in shape as the original? Original keys are very wide. Replacement ones are quite small and would make it harder to turn.
I have one(1) original key, was heading to junk yard to get new ig cylinder, is it a MUST we HAVE TWO(2) original keys to work? or junk yard key for ign, original key for door locks should be ok.
Refer to this chart to see if you need minimum two keys. www.motorcraftservice.com/pdf/pats_job_aid.pdf The dealership can set you up with a second key before you switch out the lock cylinder
This video makes no sense. For one thing there is no way that your original programmed key will turn a new lock cylinder with a different key. Your original key will only turn a cylinder that matches its cut. Are you saying that the new key can be coded to the computer by placing the original key next to the cylinder?
