    GR Yaris - an astonishing car, made even more astonishing by how whisper quiet it is on the outside!!! I could still hear the birds tweet as it drove by. GREAT REVIEW, btw!!!

    Nice review, the circuit pack is the one to go for, even on the road the lsd's make a difference, the power split isn't a power split though, its a torque split (differentials deal with torque and not bhp/ps), so changing how much twisting force you put to the front/rear, will change how the car responds to throttle inputs.
    3 settings isn't the best way of doing it but it seems to work ok for the GR Yaris, personally I would have preferred to have seen a system similar to Subaru's (as Toyota is Subaru's parent company, that technology should be available to them), which retains a rear torque bias upto a 50:50 split with a lock ability (not able to do so on the GRY).
    Finance deals are great, even the 4 year package is, as for production numbers, 25000 wont be the final figure, they had to produce that number to run the car in the WRC, Toyota have already said that they will probably produce more if there is demand for them.
    Next will be the GR Corolla, probably the same 1.6ltr engine, more room in the back 😁

      Tony B Fully agreed. I'm so happy to see how passionate the Japanese engineers, Akio Toyoda and Tommi Makinen were when developing the GR Yaris, and its great to see that there is 100% Toyota made product on Toyota's GR range. As you mentioned, Subaru is under Toyota Group's umbrella so I'm a bit surprised that they didn't collaborate with Subaru when developing the drivetrain system. Maybe Subaru wanted to have nothing to do with it, as they want to produce their next WRX STI all on their own without Toyota's help?

    Reason for the high seats is actually due to the tailshaft for the AWD system pushing the angle height up (otherwise pushing you too far outward).

      Thanks for the info, I just went off what Toyota told me.

    • @lauriedooker1031
      @lauriedooker1031 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If that’s true then why is there seat lowering kits ? Toyota could fold up a little bit of steel plate .

    • @gpajic1987
      @gpajic1987 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lauriedooker1031 even with the seat lowering, still high. I had a Recaro CS with Recaro rails and it was only 20mm lower, but better.
      You can go lower with some race seats and get an ultra thin slider which is a bit difficult to use.
      This is definitely the reason.
      Have a look at the 'Heel and Toe' GR Yaris review, it has Pole Positions and he says it's still high, I believe it.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We shall see, but I think a lot of owners might not like the idea of more being built considering they are still selling for above list price on many car buying platforms

    • @Rhowhat
      @Rhowhat 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No one thinks they are making any money on these, I'd be surprised if they didn't close the order books at some point once the 25,000 have been built.

      @@edwardvickers5506 Sorry to hear that mate but hasn't surprised me either 😡
      Would usually avoid buying a car that's only just started production but this was an exception. The "only 25,000 being built" lies from the start and pathetic waiting time increasing a month within days didn't help.
      They've had 7+ months to pull their fingers out of their arses! Clearly must be stuck 😄
      At least Toyota had one. It simply means you have to be rimmed out at the same time as fitting lol...
      Best of luck.
