I used that yarn with the same issues. I put it thru my yarn winder and made a cake with it using a bit of tension. I placed it in the smallest hole on my Addi tensioner and no more problems. I do that with problem yarn and most always fixes it. Also, Temu has the wool needles for a very reasonable price. I paid less than $2 for a set of 3.
