Giving old things new life makes me so happy and you've done a brilliant job. That spinner definitely got a glow-up. Also, Mont Marte make an acrylic flow medium which is supposed to turn regular paint into pourable paint, but I use it, instead of water, to thin out thick paint. It doesn't dilute the colour much at all and I've even used it like a colourless blender to smooth and spread paint pens. I'd highly recommend trying it out next time you're stuck with paint that's got a bit too much chonk. 😊
This is a great way to get past artblock. Its why i like prompts and sometimes challenge myself. I really love this idea and the spinner looks absolutely adorable
I'm thinking of figuring out a prompt system too. I'm then considering asking google to pick a number between 1 and 500, to pick a colour cube card to go with the prompt subject. Or I pick a number, use the colour cube photo as my inspiration/subject, then pick another number for colours. If I land on a Christmas card first (for the subject random card choice), my rule is holidays or celebration, since seasonal card subjects won't always work. Love your design here. It came out so beautiful. It's so creative and fun.
I LOVE this!!!! Such an amazing idea for an Art spinner!!!! I would have suggested using chalk paint or something that you could rewrite so you can change the ideas after you have done them. 😀. Such a great and cute background! I love it!
This looks amazing! I was also thinking about a digital spinner. But I like this idea better. Though I doubt my partner would want something like thia in our house.
4:33/4:34 "...my confidence dissolves" One way you could get practice to build up your confidence is to Work on a plan for the shadows and highlights before you even touch the board. Just as you made a plan for the characters, you can also make a plan showing. Where your darks, shadows, highlights, and mid tones all go. Just so you know, I am a professional artist and I've been one for over 20 years. When I take on a piece, I use as many references as I can and it takes me weeks and months of research before I start that piece, depending on what it is. 6:41 Once you put on the Posca white, it looks like a sticker! 9:15 It looks good!
This is awesome, love it! Quick tip for saving fingers next time something sticky is hard to remove, use a hairdryer or heat gun to warm up the adhesive first, just dont burn your fingers like I did last time 😅👍🏻
This turned out soo cute and colorful! (a lil tip though, next time you have to remove something like the velcros, try using a hair dryer! the heat should melt the glue and make it easy remove. I removed velcros of the painted frame of a mirror that way, without any damage to the sealant or paint, I don´t think I would have managed without the hairdryer, saved my time and my fingers)
I really loved this piece before you outlined it in black. Black outlines instantly make things look flat. Take a look at how fantastic your waffle cone looked before you added the lines!
I Think You did a Beautiful and Amazing job to my eyes of watching it! 😮🤩😊❤ Edit: if this was for sell I would buy it in my room if you have a store Hope to see you make another one in the future maybe? :)
Firstly, I think you did a great job. It is so cute! Secondly, I think where you may have run into problems with shading is because you didn't choose where your light source was coming from for the entire piece. So, because you were using single references for shadows, your shadows on different objects are in different places, which is probably why it looks odd to you. If you pick references with the light source in the same general area and then you mimic that in the objects where you're not using them, I think it would be a lot easier for you to decide wherethe shading horse. Third, I know people who have been doing art for years that still use references. Sarah & Jazza still uses references. Don't put pressure on yourself stop needing them because most artists never stop using them and that's okay! 😊
Sorry. I just accidentally disliked the video!!! I fixed it! I would much rather you give yourself a time limit and get out more videos (make more money) than spend a ton of time perfecting it! This is perfect as it is. It didn't need anymore time. 😊
This is one of my favorite things you’ve done. I can tell that your confidence is much higher and I can’t wait for future videos.
Looks amazing!!! So bright and cheerful 💜💜💜💜💜

Fun! A digital spinner is fine, but a physical one is nice--especially when it's handpainted =)
This is fun!]

What did you use on your iPad to get the design? Did you draw it yourself? Awesome project !!❤
Yes I did. I used Procreate.
I just started using procreate, I hope I’m not a slow learner lol
@@TannaLohouse I've been very slow learning procreate, and I've still got so much to learn. It's a great tool for planning artworks.
Perfect for planning - I like to plan there instead if wasting paper in a sketchbook. ❤

Which app do you use to create your digital art
Procreate
Did you really paint your hand for the thumbnail?😂😂😂😂
