Thanks very much for that. I will now be buying a 373 instead of a 363. Just taking up keyboards (at the age of 66) and it looks ideal to me. Looking forward to this new adventure in music.
Thanks for the informative and concise summary! I ordered a 363 that's arriving today. Musician's Friend was backordered on the 373, and I have a pressing project that just can't wait. :-/ Hopefully, the 363 will be sufficient!
No change.. everything is same with some additional options in e373. If you attach external speakers to e363 it will sound more better. The extra options are also useless as we are not going to use any. Reason to launch e373 is.. e363 has become famous so there may be chances of coming duplicate 363 models in market. Or slowly the sales may decrease. So company has to keep updating some products. E373 is 1 such products. So they have added some options in 373 to increase sales.👍
Thanks for your videos, they are very interesting. I have a question. I am looking in buying the psr-e373 instead of the psr-e463 because I really don't need the groove and sampling features. The idea is using the keyboard as a MIDI controller and multichannel sound module with my DAW software. I only want to be sure that the acoustic voices quality is the same in the 373 as in the 463. I am not at all into synth sounds. I don't intend to use the speakers so that's not an issue. What do you think? Thanks from Mike in Quebec, Canada.
Sounds to me like the 373 would be an ideal choice for you. And if you'll only be using classic sounds, I think the effects system really is worthwhile and clearly superior to the effects on the 463. So there's another reason to choose the 373 in this particular instance :)
Thanks for the great information I enjoyed it I’m thinking about buying one soon and the e373 seems perfect for a second Keyboard 🎹 as I have a psr s770 as my main one. And whenever Yamaha comes out with the psr e473 let’s see what it will offer 👍🤩😎😎
I bought a slightly used e363, but only saved 37usd. So we'll see when it shows up if it was worth it. And if the difference between the old and new model are minor.
Thanks for this! I have a problem, I have the E-363 and only using it on Grand Piano with sustain on. While the new E-373 might have a slightly better sound, I am not sure if its worth all the back and forth. What is your opinion?
Awesome video as always!! May you elaborate on the key bed comparison? You mentioned 373 is greatly improved. I'm just wondering how and in what ways. Are the keys more weighted or textured differently than the 363? thanks as always!!
Hello again, NH - Your question about the keys mentions exactly what the improvements have been! Beautiful surface texture, nice weight, and I always look for a sense of definite "up-ness" and "down-ness" in the keys. I don't like it when keys have the same resistance all the way up and down. Finally (and the 363 had this too, to be fair) you can set the velocity response to match your playing style. I choose a setting that I refer to as "Man playing like a gorilla kneading bread"
The hard cold truth is that the basic sounds have been the same since the PSR E-303. I mean, how hard would it be to add sounds from the original MOTIF to it?
Hi, great video so thanks a lot. Do you know what's the software needed on Yamaha PSR e 373 to connect the USB to Host cable between it and a computer?
this is super helpful!!! but i was wondering if it's worth it to get the EW310 rather than the EW300 as a beginner? all i need is the piano sound, i just prefer soft classical sounds, i dont need any sfx or anything like that, considering the price gap is quite noticeable in my currency. which one do you think i should get? thanks!!
Hi Gracie. If you don't need effects then I wouldn't spend the extra on the EW310. The piano sounds on the EW300 are perfectly fine. Check the second hand market though, you might be able to find a proper 88-key piano with weighted keys for less money than a new PSR-EW300. That's what I'd really recommend if you are just using piano sounds. Good luck on your search!
Hi nice comparison. A remark: both keyboards do have an integrated USB digital audio interface, i.e. instead of recording through the headphones socket, you can record digitally through connecting the keyboard to a computer (or iPad) with an USB cable. Very comcenient. And a question: can the sounds which have a timbre variation still be activated through velocity on the E373 as it was possible on the E363 or is it mandatory to use the Articulation button? Thanks.
I found a PSR-E353 second hand for half of sales price when new, and my question is now. Whats the difference between the E373 and the E353 shuold I go for the E373 or the E353.
The main difference is the feel of the keys and the effects processor in the 373. If you are happy with ordinary keys and simple sounds then the 353 will be fine for you (like if you just want to play piano and organ, I mean)
Do you think the 373 is worth the extra investment for someone who will mostly use it on their computer? Or the 363 will do just basically the same? Thanks!
If it’s just to be used with a. Computer I’d be more included to look for a controller keyboard as it’ll probably cost less and certainly give you’ve more functionality. If you need the stand-alone option as well though, I really thing the 373 is worth the extra. If you’ve got a bit of extra budget, I’d choose the Casio Ct-x500 over any other them :)
Hi Gearfacts, In today's time (December 2023) is it worth to purchase psr e373 or should i wait for psr e383. Actually i want to purchase a keyboard which has touch sensitivity and pitch bender wheel but i don't want to purchase yamaha's psr e400 series of keyboard. I expecting that psr e383 may come with pitch bender wheel. Is their any chance of having pitch bender wheel in psr e383 ? What should i do.

Great video mate.. Want to ask about the sound quality out of Yamaha psr-e373 vs Casio ct-x700 Aix sound engine. Which one is better sounding just from the SQ point of view (acoustic piano/grand piano especially)? I know casio ct-x700 is better than yamaha psr e363. How about 373? Which is better. Thanks in advance.. Greetings from Indonesia.. (=
The CT-X700 outguns all the Yamaha PSR-E series keyboards when it comes to piano sounds. But as I always point out, I choose the Yamaha ones (especially the PSR-E463) because they are just so much more fun to use. So the good music can flow freely from your heart :)
@@matrox I suggest a PSR-EW410. It has all those features, but note that the voice articulation happens in response to key pressure, not by pressing a button. Personally i pressure the key-pressure way, but some people like to have a dedicated button to change the timbre. Yes, they do. Go to settings/function. Look for the M. Octave (main octave). Most Yamaha keyboards have that. Or maybe this one octave+ or octave- button onboard already.

Glad it was helpful! And yep there's nothing wrong with the 363, especially if you add soe external effects
This is a game changer, Yamaha says the e373 has upgraded samples, taken from the much more expensive PSR-S670
Yep. And the hotly-awaited 473 is going to raise that bar again.
Good comparison. Yamaha is taking forever in getting the PSR E373 in US stores. No stores have them (or the PSR EW310) in stock yet.
I got my E373 a week a go, in Norway.
I was lucky to get this one, it was the one on display. The retailer said they sell out amazingly quickly.
I got the ew300 for my 26 birthday and I love it!!!!
