    Hi! I worked in he dental profession for years, one thing that will help you minimize the effects of fresh juice on your teeth is using a straw, that way it skips your teeth and goes straight to the throat, and secondly, rinse your mouth with plain water immediately after consuming juice to return your oral ph to neutral. Hope this helps! 🥰

    Cilantro tip
    Once washed and dried, place the whole cilantro in a mason jar filled with an inch or two of cold water (just like flowers). Then cover it loosely with a plastic bag and store in the fridge. This is best when you want to cut off the leaves as needed. The cilantro should last for up to 1 week or longer.

    So happy to have found this video! You're right that cost is a major reason alot of us give up on our juice fast journey. I was hurt by a major TH-cam juice coach shaming me about not willing to make the investment on cost of his recipes and coaching making it sound as if I didn't think that my health was worth it. True, I wanted to get healthy but sadly my budget couldn't handle his program and my bills which made me feel like a failure before I even started. So young lady, blessings and thank you for your tips!!!!

Identifying those who are in it for money will save you a lot of disappointments in regards to their “leadership” skills. There’s always a way to get healthy within your budget ❤️❤️☺️☺️

    Hey Whitney. I watched this video last week while I was on my 7 day juice fast. I completed my 7 day fast although I initially set out to do a 21 day fast. Yesterday was my first day of food since my 7day. When I tell you I had a dream that revealed to me that I should continue my juice fast last night … it was amazing and i heard loud and clear! So here I am this morning watching this video as my strategy to continue my next 7 days.
    SN: last night I made a plant-based cooked meal with kale, sweet potato,chick peas,etc. since me and my daughter had movie night I also ate chocolate covered pretzels. My tummy was upset last night 😢. And was up until 11:30pm .

    Hello Whitney, thank you so much for this video! I agree that modification is necessary to stay within your budget on an extended juice fast. I do have a few questions for you though:
    1. What did you do with the fruit you purchased in this video?
    2. Did you incorporate them in with the veggies?
    3. If you made additional fruit juices per day for the week, did you only use the fruits you purchased in this video?
    4. Did you add water to your fruit juices?
    5. Have you ever froze your juices to prep for a week? If so, what was your take on it?
    Again thank you for this video! I've been watching your videos for almost a year now, and I'm so grateful for your transparency. I appreciate the fact that you don't glamorize juicing. You give the facts, which includes that the beginning phase can be intense on your mental, emotional, and physical experience. So to know this going in is a HUGE bonus. Thank you for the information. I really appreciate this 🙏🏾. 🇬🇧. You look so beautiful and healthy! I am going to start with a 30day detox (with no sugar and no dairy), then a water fast for 7 days and then a fruit & veggie fast for 60-90 days! Seems extreme but I feel my body needs it.😉

    Thanks for this water tip! Cause it’s crazy the amount of carrots I have to use just to get enough juice. Basically a 5 gallon bag of carrots makes about 1 L of juice. Tomorrow I’m gonna try and stretch it out a bit. 👍🏾👍🏾

    Have you looked into Azure Standard? It’s an online store that offers organic and conventional fruits and vegetables, (and many other items), and you pick up your order once a month at a ‘local’ drop area. I live near a great farmer’s market, but I still buy stuff through Azure Standard as well. Because it’s bulk the upfront price is higher, but then you still have several weeks of produce. For example, this month I ordered just over 107 pounds of produce, which cost less than $150.00, still leaving me money to buy fresh greens/celery/cucumbers and some tomatoes for the rest of the month.

    • @WhitneyPeoples
      @WhitneyPeoples  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! No, I haven't. I have to look into it. Produce doesn't last that long so how do you preserve it that long?

    • @HomewithLora
      @HomewithLora 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WhitneyPeoples The majority of the stuff I buy are fruits such as apples, pears and oranges this time of year, and I have a shelving unit in my kitchen that is store them on. I also buy a huge bag of carrots (25 lbs) that I store in the fridge. When I’m not juice feasting we also buy things like winter squash, oats, etc. Then I buy any produce such as my greens at the local store or farmers market every few days bc they go bad too quickly to buy in bulk.

    Have you considered regrowing some of the parts you throw away? Every time I get a stalk of celery, I put the end piece in dirt to get it to continue to grow. I’ve gotten a substantial amount from them. Romaine and scallions too

    If you are really on a budget here is what i do
    As the juice is highly concentrated nutrition i see no issue to stretch it with one third of water. This adds up the longer you juice fast and it also helps with the dehydration issue
    Win - Win for me 😊

    I know this is from last year so prices were a little higher. I know the price of everything I put in my basket! Less than $2 for a pineapple was a great deal. I use bjs and can organic bag of apples that ends up being a little less than a dollar a pound which is great. I also pick and choose what to buy organic. Amazingly cilantro is $185 for a big healthy bunch at Whole Foods and then I pretty stop there at Whole Foods, no more produce from them. Cucs are less than a dollar at my grocery stores, I buy non organic bananas .59 pound, organic carrots about 1.69 small bag. Lemons and limes are .59 each. I use three different stores to buy my food because I know the prices. For example oatley oat milk is 5.99 at the grocery store but 3.99 at the expensive health food store
