welcome back king
ahaha thank you. forgive my delay ✌️
How strong is the 10% Haze in comparison to Black Mist Filter ? Would you say its like a 1/8 to 1/4 or more like 1/2 and up ?
it reminds me a lot of the moment cinebloom glass tbh. maybe a cinebloom 10. Was a bit more bloom-y than a 1/8 and closer to a 1/4 for sure.
Would you mind if you write name of this wooden hand grip or maybe a link? And is it compatible with tripod?
mine is walnut for the record 👌
Doesn't putting the filter so close to the opening kind of defeat the purpose of the lens hood though?
Do you mean from protecting the lens element? Or providing coverage for potential flare?
@@mblakepope The flare. I've noticed mist filters can cause really excessive loss of contrast if light hits them a certain way. Assuming that could be more prone to happen here.
Same concern. Does the hood actually still work against flare?
Beautiful content brother. Cheers🎉
thanks my friend. appreciate the comment 🙏
what is the handle you got there?
it’s from iWoodstore - link below ⚡️

I am assuming this makes the x100vi weather sealed too?
@@siddharthaghosh1513 yes but only if you use a filter with it
i have tried just about every x100 hood... and while i will say Squarehood provides a well made hood the way they choose to attached the good with the 2 set screws is a deal breaker for me... they are flat head screws and now a normal flat but almost like a square... this is fine if you are the type to never ever remove your hood to change filters but i am not that type and taking it apart to do so just plan sucks... and each time i did i left like i was stripping the tiny screws a bit.
i much prefer the way haoge does things with a oring for tension and it just screws on... works everytime and is easy to take on a off with no tools needed
@@HorrorGeek13 100%. Big drawback for sure. I wanna pretend like I’ll leave this on forever but there’s definitely part of me (just days later) that wants to remove it in scenarios where I don’t want the haze effect. Thanks for speaking up, a good friend of mine said the same. Valid ⚡️
I just bought the Freewell setup.
Is your L grip from SmallRig ? 😁😀
