This was SO interesting. Not that I’m planning on going freelance, but it answers so many questions about the industry and really pulls back the curtain on how all of this works from an individual, financial perspective.
Loved this! I learned so much! I own a small llc, tutoring company in Northern, NJ and this was sucj wonderful advice! I look forward to another video!
So fun you are talking freelance/business. I’ve been freelancing for over 15 years and am an S Corp. This setup has worked well and saved me money. My biggest piece of advice is to find an accountant who works with other businesses similiar to yours (theatre, arts, creative, etc.). And get recommendations from others as to who they like working with. This has really helped me as once you find someone like this, they can advise you on structure, how much to save out for taxes and the best way to write off certain expenses. I prefer one to two in person meetings a year to keep me updated on latest tax changes, and any tips they can share.❤
This was super informative. My financial literacy is pretty basic so extra info I actually can understand is helpful. Hearing people break down how they organize their finances is interesting.

Wow! What a great interview! Learned a lot!!! @14:38 loved the percentages and how you have separate accounts for different purposes!
A VERY helpful conversation. Thanks for sharing!
