Finally, been waiting for someone to react to this album, I absolutely loved it, personally, I feel like it won't be for everyone but it's been on repeat for me personally this week.
I'm gonna be honest, this has been my favorite album to date for them. I felt like they brought everything together in this one. They had their heavy hits, had their anthems, and their slower ones. I loved it
I just saw them live on Monday I’ve been waiting years and years to see them live and I screamed every song with everything in me the post concert depression is so real with this concert ❤😭😭😭💕 they did so freaking good and I heard Jenny live and this is the time live finally I cried at one point literally can’t wait for them to come back
Nothing More is soooo underrated! But they're getting there, finally 😊❤ They're a genre of their own. Love how Alan Watts is woven into the fabric of their work. They slap, slam, hit you, heal you, provoke and shelter you. Musical true love all the way. ❤
@@Beyond_Perspectivecarnal is way more coherent as an album as in telling a story/message, yknow, about carnal nature and rejecting it. Spirits it one of the most “compilation of songs” albums nothing more has released, especially compared to The Stories We Tell Ourselves which had much more to offer story wise than SPIRITS. The only true transition song SPIRITS had was between Valhalla and Spirits at the end of the album. While Spirits definitely was a big bang to send off the whole album, comparing SPIRITS and CARNAL in coherence is no competition, CARNAL most definitely wins. The bad part of CARNAL is that it’s ending is seemingly relying on the next album, cause | SOUND | sounds like it will be a multi-album transition starting into the next album, which is cool, but is not really a good way to end an album. SPIRITS definitely has a stronger ending than CARNAL though.
I have to admit, aside from The Few Not Fleeting, this is my least favorite album in their catalog. However, it has grown on me, but I still don’t think it touches anything they have put together between their self-titled album to Spirits. For me, this album feels rushed and thrown together. While it is consistent, it severely lacks the creativity we’ve come to expect from Nothing More. It’s a bunch of the basic three stage songs that wind up being overplayed on the radio. I don’t like that about this album at all. They released this album only a year and a half after Spirits. I did my best to lower expectations because of this alone. When bands release new albums and it hasn’t even been two years since their last release, you’re usually going to get a fairly weak release. That’s just not enough time to really put everything you have into a musical project. With Spirits, there was so much diversity in the album. For me, it was perfect. Deja Vu (Too Young To See) is by far my favorite Nothing More song. It simply isn’t talked about enough. The outro of that song is insane - the sound is unlike anything we’ve heard from any band. The lyrics to that song were phenomenal. Face It is another one of my favorite Nothing More songs. I could go on and on about that album. Spirits is just hard to beat. Spirits Nothing More TSWTO Carnal TFNF That’s how I rank them. For this album, far too many songs just feel unfinished and leave a lot to be desired. I still enjoy it for what it is, but after two weeks, I’m already ready to move on to something else.
I was very disappointed at first but it’s grown on me. It’s still their worst and most generic album, but it’s still good for what it is. I guess that’s what happens when you work with Drew Fulk. TSWTO > Spirits > Nothing More > Carnal > TFNF Carnal is prob worse than TFNF but I enjoy it more
I can what you mean. But if any band that has that old pop rock sound, can always sound better with some heavy guitar and drums. I like some fall out boys songs.
Existential Dread is insane, one of my favourites from them of all time. So experimental, and fantastic riffs
Such a good song.
I was into it at first but that eEEeEeEeE eEeEEeE chorus is such a letdown for me
@@stonerVEVOduuude I totally get it, minus that part. The song is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Freefall reminds me of Its Only Smiles by Periphery and i’ll die on that hill. Absolutely love it.

This album is an absolute masterpiece. On repeat for months now. Looking forward to this reaction 👍😊

I like that you include the lyrics.
A great album, wasn't too fussed on spirits much preferred their older stuff but this one is defo up there for me
You create your past with the choices you make now, in the present.

I’m loving the Album. I became a fan in 2019. I luv spirts, and I luv this carnival album. Very unique sound.
I totally hear that comparison you made with their song Freefall sounding like Switchfoot. I hear that for sure lol
"The past is cause for the present" meaning the past is how we get to this moment. Great reaction bro def earned a sub 🫡
They way people worded things back the confuses me sometimes, makes me think it’s more complicated that what it really is😂
@@RUNTY_OW it took me a minute too 😭😂
Freefall is my fav from this album
Hell yeah bubba!🤘🤘
great video🔥
The entire album is great. Not a single bad song.
Thank you.
I thought that freefall sounded like no apologies by papa roach, at least to me
freefall gave me major 2017 FIR vibes
Thank you! Have been thinking this same thing. First time seeing someone else say it
It's no Spirits, I'll tell you that.
I feel like Spirits is superior and much more coherent as an album than this. I do like some individuals songs here more than in Spirits though
Spirits was far better yeah.
as a full album i agree. But some of the tracks on this album beats most of Spirit. Some of the singles and Existential Dread are amazing
It’s better than spirits.

Maybe that why i like angel song so much, two people already stated that it sounds like Muse, and i do see a lot of Muse in that riff.

This Album left me fairly disappointed. Maybe i just had my expectations set too high going in. I still like it just not as much as I was hoping.

Do you like spirits more than carnal?
