I mean, the reason there is a deafening silence from the historicists about the destruction of historical buildings in Palestine and Jeurasalem is because Western historicists don't give a shit about Eastern architectural history, only the European architecture, such as Notre Dame, even when these incredible works are far older and incredible parts of human history. Also this emphasizes the strength of the oriental lens in the western world, if the eastern buildings are destroyed, it's okay because these are just symbols of savagery and tribal living, whereas for the west, notre dame was a symbol of modernity and our advancements so it must remain erected

I think every generation has known of the Palestine-Israel conflict. I remember as a five years old child hearing about it, and It really got my attention. I felt sympathy for Palestine.
