In 2001 for a college class on multicultural psychology I decided on a whim to privately interview both Palestinian students and Jewish rabbis without telling either of them who all I was interviewing. My goal was to be able to understand each of them so as to reflect back to them in my own words what their view was of the conflict. It opened my eyes quite to my surprise. I had no idea how it would change me when I started. But at the end of that project I was no longer pro Israel.

Without trawling through all of Waters' remarks about the Russian invasion, I suspect he probably acknowledged the historical context, the West's provocations, and Putin's actual stated reasons for the invasion. Certain people seem to conflate an understanding of the reasons it happened with actual support for the invasion. You may be engaging in this type of simplistic thinking.

I had no idea how it would change me when I started. But at the end of that project I was no longer pro Israel.

When someone humanitarian like Roger or Norman Finklestein and others speak loudly then ppl with mind and heart should listen.
It's amazing to me that the strongest voices speaking out for the Palestinians are Jewish and their families survived the Holocaust. Gabor Mate' and his sons Aaron and Daniel are the best, Max Blumenthal is a warrior. It gives me hope for the Jewish people and tells me that this has nothing to do with antisemitism. Never again meant to any group of people no matter what religion or nationality.

I know that some people think that most of what they're doing is talking, but that helps. The average life span in Gaza is measured in decades; the average life span in say a place like Majdanek or Auschwitz; was on average measured in days - in a place like Belzec it was measured in minutes; 45 to be exact. Gaza is a concentration camp? I was watching some footage of the bombing in Gaza and I remember seeing a late model Mercedes crushed under some rubble; thinking, if it was mine I might have got in that and headed South and what a waste. The only people driving a Mercedes in Majdanek and Auschwitz were the SS, certainly not the Jews Roger. Gaza the concentration where you can drive a Merc........Gaza is a concentration camp? No hospitals, unless they were doing medical experiments on you - they had brothels, so there was plenty of rape.
