  • In this video I show how I make the broth for the sukiyaki soup. This is the same base as I use for pho broth. I will show how I use the sukiyaki sauce from my other video ( • C/w Nana: Lao Sukiyaki... ).

    Sukiyaki originated in Japan, but it's very popular dish enjoyed by Lao people. This is Lao-style sukiyaki, with my own minor twists. Thanks for watching.

    I just wanted to let you know what they call "khow" (yucky meaty smell/taste of the meat) in English is called gamey. I hate that smell and flavor too! 😖 thanks for this recipe, looks so good! 🤤

    Nana you're awesome , you're so kind to share your recipe, we been wanting to eat Suki for years, didn't know how, thx to you , I'm now finally can try to do it myself, will surprise my husband this coming spring break, in a week, plz show us the bag of noodle, or the name , i like to use the same one., also I noticed that when u mixed ur sauce with the soup, its not as red, how can I make it more red.

      Wide bean vermicelli, it is the dry the version you have to soak it before blanching

    Hi Nana! thank you so much for the recipe! can though please tell me what kind of noodle you are using and what is it called? I've never seen it cuz we always eat Suki with the thin clear noodle; but I want to try the noodle you use! thank you so much for everything you do!

    is kao the dirty smell of the blood and fat? koreans we do the same boil and get rid of the smell and fat. if you soak in cold water first it get's rid of even more blood and scum. love your videos btw.
