i will say i love how you explain not to rush and always can come back to things and to just enjoy the process of the project really awesome channel mate
Hi Tris - The static grass works well and overall the scenics is looking good. I have recently got an airbrush so your tips are most welcome !!! Keep Safe.................Cheers Kev
Nice one Tris, great upload, good to see you tackle the ballasting and static grass, daunting at first but good fun once you get a feel for it. Layouts coming together nicely. All the best. Brian @ The Angels
@@OONeal also, I stopped watching model train videos and have forgotten the day your vids are premiered and I am wanting to be there so please could you let me know so I can ask my dad if I will have time to be there
thankyou sir, excellent advise and tips, excellent results if i do say so myself, very well explained and that is priceless for me being new to the wonderful hobby, i look forward to learning more from your progress over the coming weeks/months/years, thankyou.
Hi Tris, a very enjoyable video. It is really great to see you enjoying this wonderful hobby. Your enthusiasm is infectious, which will give people who watch your videos the desire to get into this magic hobby. Keep up the good work. Cheers Greg
10:03 I love the way there is a little "path" coming down from the line to the lower level by the bridge - just as if people have taken a shortcut and worn the long grass down , excellent . PS I have caught up with your vids now , it has taken several days , but I think well worth it .😊😊😊
Hello Fred, thank you I was going to fill it in as its the join but that is a good idea as it can be a trodden path. I am glad you are enjoying them as there are quite a few of them now.
Hi Tris, I’ve just found your channel over the past few weeks and am really enjoying the content. I’m a complete novice and finding your videos really helpful as I start to build my layout. Take care.
Some superb tips Tris, your progress is coming along nicely. I’ve not used an air brush for a long time now, I really need to upgrade mine it’s only a really basic Humbrol one. I’ve still got a bit more track work to do, just got my second incline set so should be able to put a bit more of the branch line in on my layout soon.
Very enjoyable video Tris i love the way you do your scenery. One question could you use spray adheasve as like a layering spray? really neat job with the track painting and ballasting.- Nicholas.
Hi I just wanted to say that I am getting a Hornby Duchess of Sutherland and a replica railways Burton Agnes Hall and a Hornby Dublo horsebox converter Wagon and a Hornby LMS Brake van as well as Driving Lessons for my 17th birthday and I'm really looking forward to getting the Duchess and The Hall class and The wagons as they are some of the things I've been wanting for a while now
@@OONeal sorry, powder isn't better. It's hygroscopic so sensitive to moisture and humidity. The less you open it and the better you seal it, the longer it will last.
Looks great. You should check out "Boomer Dioramas: The Immersive Little Railroad". This guy is from Canada. He shares how he does all of the things he does. It's really incredible. Keep up the great work on your layout. Thanks for sharing.
Looking good Tris, like how you're doing little sections at a time. How high off the floor is your baseboard? I've had a quote on boarding our loft but not sure how much height I'll have left lol
Great video as always. I've recently started building a layout again, partly inspired by yourself and the community which has formed around the channel. Have you thought about a members discord or similar? I think it would be great to share tips, layout images etc.
Hello, Its always a pleasure to help. As for discord I have never used it so I cannot comment but will learn about it now you have suggested it. If it would help us all then maybe its a good idea. I just need to find out about it first. Thank you for the suggestion. and take care

The idea of only painting the part of the rail you can see is such a clever idea
Thanks William 😊

Hi Nicholas, I don't know how spray adhesive would look. Possibly too thick for layering, maybe good enough for the first layer?

Grout does have a limited shelf life. This may not matter for model use but something to bear in mind.
Thanks for letting me know. I can always get a new bag if I need too. This is in powder form so hopefully It lasts for a while

So I will have to measure but it’s around 80-90cm I think but varies depending one which side I’m on.
