We need this in Columbus, Ohio so bad. The cb shop closest to us has a good supply but the owners son has no customer service skills and for something simple as a talkback on a switch they expect you to leave it a few days because they don’t want to work on anything.
please interview this guy! Just have to ask the right questions, as he seems to be a wealth of CB history, and doesn't mind being on camera. I can help come up with questions. first one is, why the heck aren't you selling on ebay???
Hi there, CB is picking up too in Europe. I know a new garage store is opening. In Europe CB is license free now. Also PMR is very popular and selling like hot cakes. We need to get those z gen on it too.
Is there a truck stop close by or truck parking? Do they do any mail order? I saw a amp in the video like one I have and would like a spare. Great video.
I wonder if he has a website. In Australia they do not manufacture 27 Mhz SSB radios anymore and have not done since the 1990's, we either have to import them or use 40 year old radios. We mostly use UHF CB at 477 MHz in FM mode. HF CB amplifiers are also very rare here, by the look of those amps there should be a whole lot of interested people who would like to import those amplifiers.
I have a old Browning LTD Classic 23 channel ssb from 74, it was my father's, I had a slider built into it to give more channels, for the life of me I can't figure it, it has a full swing on dead key, with a power Mike it sky walks
This is all amazing stuff I don't think I'll ever get back into CB my new goal is to be a licensed ham I have a couple of Chinese radios and I think I'm going to just get an Icom 7300 can open up the transmit for 11m that way I'll have something I can talk to people on CB with I have a hundred Watts I don't need a separate amp can I still have an HF rig
Great video excellent I've never been there must go! I have two questions for you. What would be the smallest yet efficient radio for CB for an indoor situation say a bedroom. Where the parents are not allowing any holes to be made in the walls or ceilings to hook up a larger antenna outside. Second, are there cable ends for RG6 cable that will attach right to a CB radio, seeing how RG6 cable is larger diameter cable. I'm Hoping there is. If there is, Can you tell me what their model number is? Thank you!
Firestick makes a 5 foot tall indoor antenna, that just stands on the floor. I'm not sure, But I think RG6 is 75 ohm cable, and that only works with co-phased antennas. CB's use 50 ohm coax. Good luck with Your station, and Thanks for watching.
I get asked this question a lot. Most of the Handles and call numbers are Self assigned. Some radio Clubs will give You numbers to use. for example, I'm a member of "World Wide Sidebanders" So sometimes You Might hear Me call out as WWS-568. The 151 that I use comes from the 151 cubic inch engine that Chevrolet made in the 70's, it's My all time favorite engine. Thanks for watching, 73's from 151 SC.
Howdy Sir, I just came across your channel but have watched videos in the past. Anyway I'm Restoring my 1982 Chevrolet Silverado Factory Diesel over 40 options (Kinda a Cats Meow) back in the early-80s & I'm looking for a 23-Channel CB Radio, Preferably an Un-common ish brand from 1980-1982 Would you know of any brands or Recommend me anywhere to find one... My Grandfather before he passed had a LEAST 3-4 Old 1970s Style Gym School lockers FULL but I guess at that time I didn't feel the "interest" in them yet as they asked if wanted them and They got all sold As well of a Vtg Style Base Loaded Antenna Thanks & Subscribed looking forward to the videos you remind me of him Ofc without the accent.
That's fantastic! I love the big old Box Chevy's! A lot of great 23 channel cb's out there, But starting in 1977 all CB's had 40 channels. If you still want a 23, Tram, browning, Royce, Midland and even Kraco had some good models. Enjoy that Classic Chevy, and I hope You find the perfect radio for it.
@@MowerJunkie Yesssir she's a high Dinning truck. Especially with the diesel only a 10% option. Interesting, I've heard of a few. but not the others. Yes I'd prefer to stay 23-Chn. This is a good Cb channel. I just subscribed.
Thank You. 🙂
I could spend a fortune in that store.
CB still very popular here in North East Georgia. not to far from Lexington, S.C.
This is all amazing stuff I don't think I'll ever get back into CB my new goal is to be a licensed ham I have a couple of Chinese radios and I think I'm going to just get an Icom 7300 can open up the transmit for 11m that way I'll have something I can talk to people on CB with I have a hundred Watts I don't need a separate amp can I still have an HF rig
many folks have gone with ICOM rigs on 11 meters, damn fine piece of kit
Sooooo many goodies
Oh my goodness ,theres nothing like that here.I wish i lived closer, i am jealous for sure.

I wish they shipped
CB Shop not to far from Savannah, GA as nothing here have to go there check it out. Does he do mods to CB's also?
I'm not sure what They do for repairs and mods, I forgot to ask them. I'll ask them next time I visit the store.
I need a good deal on a radio and the set up
I hope You can find a great deal! Take care, 73's from 151 SC.
Awesome.
Thanks! it really is!
Where do the numbers come from on ssb when you give call sign 151, do you just make a number or is it licensed

Would a Robyn WV-23 Be Considered in that lot of "Period correct?" Open to diff makes Preferably Smaller models in Width. Like the WV-23, CBD-10/12 GM, etc. I want a GM one in general but those are rare and usually over $250!
@@SchnelleKat The Robyn WV-23 would be an awesome radio for Your Truck. A bumper mounted 102 would also look good on it, and be period correct.
What part of the country are you from where are you located
I'm from Massachusetts originally, Now I live in South Carolina.
a great price on the 102 inch whips.
Does he have parking lot for semi trucks?
