Great to see that you are feeling better and you are back in action. Thank you so much for the close ups in your videos. I really enjoy you taking the time to film. I appreciate it as well. I wish I could be there. Thanks.
Good to see you out and about! I would be in trouble if I went to that auction and came home with a car full of radios. Looks like a lot of fun! Take care. 👍
It was really hard for me to comport my "Geez I really want that" reaction to what I saw. One radio did follow me home but it wasn't in the auction. It will be revealed in a future video!
I tell you, at that auction I would have been walking out with a lot of radios! $5 and $10 for most?! I'd be a busy boy restoring all Winter that's for sure. Great channel - sub'd! And '73 to you!
I'm sure you had to be going crazy seeing some radios go cheap! There were good workable radios for sale in both pavillions too in the 15-30 dollar range!
Don't have the brighter background at your back! LOL Wanted to BS with you but you were busy every time I caught up with you. Thanks for bringing the tube. Great still of the North and South trippers.
I was able to come Friday. It was a great meet, I’ll come again in the fall. I wish I could of stayed the night and been there Saturday morning too, just that motels are a little pricey these days. I was a bit surprised how high restored radios go for, especially compared to the auction prices. I thought it would be the other way around. New to buying and selling, I wonder are there, that many sales in the $300-$400 range? Or are the owners just there to display their prized possessions? I understand the time and materials make some of these a steal at $300-$400., but who buys them? I did not witness any sales.I have a few radio’s that I would not sell at any cost. Is this the way these guys attempt to downsize? All and all, this was a great meet. I enjoyed seeing so many different radio models. I could only attend Friday, I wish I could of stayed thru Saturday morning, I always wonder if I missed any great deal. See you in the fall!
All good observations! There are a narrow window of folks who will buy those 3 to 4 hundred dollar radios. Most folks will go buy a hamburger, but a few will buy the side of beef and place it in the freezer. I'm a hamburger kind of buyer. After being a vendor there for 12 years, I get a good idea for the folks who own a freezer!
There's something to be said about excercising self control. Real reason was that I have to refrain from heavy lifting for awhile (I had a heart attack April 1st.
Bob you are right take the blood thinner’s eat healthy stay strong…so far so good for me after 2 heart attacks and 6 stents within a 6 year period it gets better…take care.
It's amazing how, with a fairly easy basic refresh/resto, these cheaply auctioned radios will sometimes find buyers at +/-$300! I have lived for many years about 2 hours away and kick myself for never making the effort to go. Now I have zero space for anything new!

Always fun joining you at the radio swaps. Thanks for sharing Bob.
Hi Carl! Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you're feeling well!
Great job, Bob! WOW, some real bargains in that auction!!!
Many nice radios went for really good prices. There were more smiles than sailors in a gentleman's club!

I used to be brighter but then I started collecting radios in the 90's.

Great to see ya back in action cuz! Fun day..
Thanks Kev! I'm getting there!
Intro has too much background noise. Maybe a microphone closer to your mouth ?
Where I messed up is that the background music was really loud, and I had the speaker close to me when I did the intro. Sorry....... my bad!
