Amiga tracker. A sampler is a hardware tool for create samples from a sound source. I used my sampler with a cassett recorder back in the days. I had a Amiga 500 expanded with a 512 Kb RAM trapdoor expansion card, and a 8 bit sampler. It worked well but you recorded sound in Audiomonster II a pure sampling program for creating soundfiles and then stored them on disks for use in the tracker program. I used Protracker 3.x. But the limitation was mostly RAM and it was a bit of a hussle without a harddrive. It was so expensive so I never upgraded the Amiga more than that, in the end I went over to PC - I had to choose and for rendering graphics in Lightwave etc - a Intel based PC was faster (Pentium 100+ MHz). I wanted a Amiga 4000 ofc, but I didnt have the money to buy both. Its rediculous when I think of it today (owning a Amiga 4000 and several PCs :-) ), but the budget had to rule my choices back in the 90s.
A lot better than my first track with fast tracker 2. (Only started using it this month after using fl and Ableton. Definitely not gonna switch but might use fast tracker to make some samples)
