I was there that day. I remember Johnson breaking his rear shock on his Yamaha, and Howerton broke his leg and had to be medi-vac out. Worst sunburn ever on top of my head! Plus I was on crutches from crashing in Calhoun, breaking my knee. Good times!

Interesting picture of Kenny Keylon @ 1:44,,, full works honda with one of the last front drum brakes, also has the rear brake torque eliminator on the swingarm (or is it just a big chain guard?). Privateers dream getting to race a works bike,,,, open face helmet with just a Joffa mouth guard, gnarly. Also cool seeing Liles on the early works KX250 that only had a radiator on the right side. Killer pics.
