      I would imagine that most parks employees have no clue as to what it takes to build a coaster like that.
      It takes some serious engineering calculations to make sure that train of cars is going to do everything it needs to do and get back to the station or next lift hill.

    What a great opportunity for him. More companies should offer behind the scenes tours for kids and teens who show promise and an interest in their field. There are so many professions that are in danger of dying out because kids don't have the time to be kids and explore anymore. All of the things that I did as a child in school no longer exist. Like career days or factory tours. Home economics and woodshop. I wanted to be a quality control worker at frito lays for the longest after visiting their plant and finding out that they paid good money for people to taste random potato chips lol. There's no hope in bringing back American jobs if we lack a skilled workforce.

    • @MrsThollo
      @MrsThollo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Every year, we visited the Wonder Bread Company and Brach's Candy Company and got the cutest, tiniest loaves of bread and, of course, candy. Brach's also held a pancake breakfast for law enforcement after the parade for fallen officers every year. When they demolished it in the Batman movie it was like demolishing a part of my childhood. I wonder if children still visit the police academy; that was my favorite.

    • @teetee19768
      @teetee19768 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree with this so much. When I was school we had home economics, woodshop, etc. Having a skilled job used to be a respectable profession. Then some folks decided everyone needed a college degree and you were worthless if you didn't have a "professional" job/career. I'm glad to see this young man using his brain instead of some of the other tik tok trash I see!

    • @madreep
      @madreep 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrsThollo we don't have any candy companies here that I know of but we do have Franz bread headquartered here and the whole neighborhood near the bakery smelled good. We had a wonder bread outlet store though where everything cost ten cents and A&W root beer near the beach where you could taste fresh root beer on tap. As kids we always wanted to do those jobs and the companies were great at fostering interest. My family has a good mix of white and blue collar workers. My nephew works as some kind of mechanic that works on specialized equipment and his job is paying for his master's degree. My cousin's husband did the same thing as an engineer. He's been with the same company his entire working career. And now my 15 year old wants to drive a truck after high school. College isn't his thing and I'm okay with that. He hasn't had the same opportunities that I did to learn about the trades and decide what he would like to do.

    Everyone who has ever called you a nerd in high school has benefitted from 'nerd-dom' in some way or another. Anything from the smartphone in their hand, the video games they play, their laptop or that big screen tv. So when classmates call you a nerd just realize you will the star at the class reunion 10 yrs later when they realize where you work and how much you make.

Because they see how much more knowledge you have. So to all the kids still in school whether college or down remember to ignore people that are trying to knock you off your course 🙏❤️ amen and peace and love!
