You look sharp! I’ve just begun your beginners lesson on cripple creek. You are by far the most pleasant person in your lessons, love your work. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰.
My grandaddy and Dad (RIP to both) used to play this on the back porch on grandaddy's farm in east Tennessee (Loudon County). One of my favorite songs of all time. Certainly the nostalgia has something to do with it. This was great.
i'm originally from a little place called Winchester, KY which is real close to Lexington. we play this song too :) its a banger. i just love those old mountains and hollers so much, it makes my heart hurt sometimes. so beautiful, and peaceful, and the wildlife, and the people, and history, its quite a region. this place has got me, like it is strong. it gits in yer bones, lol but really it does
Wow, I was moved to tears when I saw this banjo, my 87-year-old mother had one just like it, she still cries for hers to this day, she no longer has it; they robbed us at home 😭...Gracias por su música 🎵🎼...Saludos desde CHILE 🇨🇱🙋🏻♀️
Blessings in an abundance of the faith in Jesus Christ. I salute you. 😘🙏 Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. Thank you. God bless you. 😊Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour???? I do. 😊
Beautifully done. I play exactly like that, ...except much crappier... I wish I played a quarter as well as you do. You are a blessed inspiration. Thank you for helping us average players have hope.
ive been teaching myself banjo through TH-cam, mainly Eli Gilbert and Clifton Hicks. I love that I can hear my simplified version of Cripple Creek in this; shows me where to grow. Awesome playing man
Just wanted to tell you that about 8 years ago I watched your video on choosing to play clawhammer or finger style. That video of you playing Cripple Creek in two different styles was the deciding factor for me to start playing clawhammer. Thank you sir! I still play clawhammer banjo daily.
Thanks so much for all of your videos. I have bought many of your tabs. You are the best banjo instructor on the internet! How about a Blues on the Banjo video series? That would be incredible
My 15 year old son is taking your lessons.. he is doing really well. I just picked up a 1972 banjo, and will be learning as well. Thank you for posting.
Thank very much. You are inspiring me to learn the banjo. Your lessons are easy to follow but my brain to fingers coordination is not as finely tuned as yours. I'm 69 years old and learning the banjo gives me something to prove to my kids that I'm not dead ...yet! LOL.
When my banjo case hears that, the hinges open automatically haha!😊 Thats awesome!
Sounds about right.

😮 My pinky's too short to reach the 11th fret while doing the shave and a haircut. Your bending opened for me an alternative technique. Thank you ❤
