I am at a stage where I really want to start something I have in my mind for the layout, but am trying to finish my Sci Fi project first, or (knowing what I'm like) I'll end up with 2 half finished projects! Haha But I agree - a running session is definitely on the cards!
Your not letting everyone down many of us go through all the ups and downs ,keep going this is from someone who's overthinks things which stop you moving on believe me just keep going and you will get there .
You get on with what you have time and inspiration/Mo-Jo for! No worries Richard. We'll see you back on tracks, no doubt but finish the other projects first. Hi, and hey I am the same...I have an attic layout in progress....and it will provably be in progress for years!! Lol....to be honest the cost of anything to do with my oo gauge layout is crazy....I just look for second hand stuff as the new stuff is way over my budget. When you upload again do it because you want to not because you feel you have to. All the best....cheers

I agree with the costs - Apart from the Devon Flyer starter set which was new when I bought it (about 12 years ago...) and some track, everything is either 2nd hand or scratch built... I don't know if you'd be interested in more videos about keeping costs down with regards to the hobby? 🤔🤔 Let me know! 👍😁
@@DarlingbroughModelRailway Hi, I enjoy your vids regardless of the specific subject....but any budget ideas would be appreciated....in these uncertain times I am tightening my belt and train purchasers for myself are very infrequent. I do go in the local model shop often as they have some very decent second hand stuff. The last bargain I got was a virtually new condition era 3 (my layout is being based on the 30s pre war ) coach....for £12 !!! And it's better than the new ones I bought a year ago and less the half price!! Funnily enough I actual prefer second hand as the new stuff - even if I could afford I could not justify the stupid prices. I think people should vote with their feet and boycott rip off britain..lol I am on a rant now sorry....all the best cheers

I agree that the cost of new models is completely ridiculous in some cases... 💷💷💳💱 I appreciate that manufacturers spend a LOT of time in research and development of new products, however once the mass production stage comes, most of the costs are recouped fairly quickly... As an inexperienced model rail enthusiast, I definitely feel the costs are prohibitive for many who are getting into the hobby, and definitely agree 2nd hand is the better option! 🚂🚃🚃
Do what you need to do hombre, no one wants to build a shed in the cold, big or not lol. I'll stick about waiting for the eventual "rebuilding my layout' videos :D
Thanks Hamster! Very true! If this winter is as bad as last one, I certainly want to avoid being outside as much as possible! ❄🌨☃️ At least my current shed is insulated, so it's workable! I will definitely get some work done on the layout, as I've missed running trains! Haha 🚂🚃🚃
