Rick Colaluca is a pretty insane drummer. How he manages to keep perfect time with such frenetic activity is beyond the comprehension of many drummers.
I first heard Rick listening to 'Control & Resistance' in 1991 at a bandmates apartment. After the first song (Instruments of Random Murder) I just said to my friend, "Who F is that drummer?". We were very much into "complicated" music and were playing Zappa covers at that time. Since then I've always kept tabs of what WT and Rick were up to. He must be one of the, if not THE, most overlooked viruosouses on the drums. As a drummer myself I can certainly appreciate his skill.
あんなに振り回して… よくまぁ

He basically was the original arachnid-human drummer in metal imo.
FunerealObsession
“Arachnoid drummer”
I like this description!
Weird that he's rarely talked about nowadays, best metal drummer of the 80's imo.

Rick you're incredible, and a huge influence, you changed the direction of my drumming life.
Imagine this guy playing on a Death album, that would be great!
Man i can only imagine. Wouldve been sick
At least Chuck was a fan and was influenced by them
Crazy ass drummer! Serious signature style!!!
Rick, what a beast!!
He has been sent to us from the drum gods.
BRUTAL!!! saludos desde Chile!
I've always thought of this band as Rush on steroids.
First band I ever wrote a letter to and got a response back from.
Dwhizzle Dizzle rush on steroids would be Coroner
Love Coroner, but they've got zero direct Rush influence.
This band are pure Rush acolytes.
Absurd drumming 🤘🏻
WOW! an alien plays the drums!
what a drummer...sooo nice. i love it 💛
Greatest prog. metal band ever. New album out now.
Robert Beatty only EP... but there is hope for more!
Yeah, but an EP for them is five albums worth of creativity by others. Maybe more to come with supportive new label
Robert Beatty That is very true. So you really have to enjoy every second of the EP literally. Hope they Give US more than Cynic did recently...

My favorite part (6:28 ~ 6:47)
3:55 to 4:00 where he ends by hitting the left crash and uppercuts the right crash at the same time
More drums in the mix please!!
