Excellent and different recording. Awesome and under mentioned band. The instrumental gymnastics is off the charts. I got used to the vocals after a few passes and then totally dug them (I love Rush so it's not a stretch). I could almost imagine if Rush had gone in a more Thrash/Metal direction we'd have similar music. I have both original vinyl LP pressings.
Track 3 listed as 'Plastic' is actually 'Hidden Instincts' which was later featured as the 6th track on 'Control & Resistance', with slightly altered lyrics & a different vocal delivery from Alan Tecchio, as well as a different solo from Jarzombek. All tracks from this demo ended up on the 2nd album. Thanks for uploading 👍
Right off the bat this sounds more heavy than other stuff I've heard from them....Chuck Schuldiner was in love with this group so I'm trying to find some of his inspirations because hes my favorite artist/musician and I cant find nothing else like his band
Chuck took a lot of these ideas, simplified them, gave a lot of immediate impact to them and made them more brutal. That and a knack for memorable song writing made him what he is today. Overall, Jarzombek is probably one of the most musically accomplished players who ever played serious metal.
You have to check out Vektor, best band since since Death imo. Some will call this Blasphemy but I think Terminal Redux is an even better album than any of Death's, it's a perfect masterpiece, best album I've ever heard without question.
I feel like Watchtower (And a lot of Tech bands in general) could have been a lot more popular with vocals like this than how they ended up. Surely you dont have to follow every part of the melody if it doesnt sound great when you do.

Best demo tech/prog thrash demo ever.
Funny how they were included on the 1983 comp "Cottage Cheese From The Lips Of Death" which was a compilation of HC Punk bands from Texas.

Yeah cuz there ain't nuthin' else like'em. Bands at the highest echelons of metal are all untouchable.
