I agree! I think this is not only the way forward possibly discs being optional or not supported next gen but also the price point of what the ps6 could be also?? 🤷♂️
I was the same waiting for the pro before buying the PS5 and the announcement put me right off, and its probably the first time i have lost enthusiasm for gaming in general because of it. I bought the PS4 pro on launch and loved it but ill be waiting probably a few years before i even pick up a PS5 now.
I really do think the price is the biggest mis step especially with the added costs. I was expecting launch console costs if not a bit more but what was announced seems crazy.

@@E1teamAzure I don’t think Sony will do anything, online chatter isn’t anything it’ll come down to the sales if it sells well over Christmas they won’t touch it. If it goes the way of psvr2 then something might happen? I was hoping for a redesign for this but they stuck with the slim and imo it’s uglier than the launch system

Good to see you back 😀 It's like 2006/07 again 😂 At least back the the additional vlubray player justified the £425 launch price. I've not gone next gen yet. Didn't think I ever would tbh. I hadn't seen any games that interested me. But now there's 4 games coming out (Perfect Dark,Indiana Jones, Mafia Old Country & GTA6. PD is Xbox exclusive unfortunately. So I'd probably take the power hit and get the Xbox to play those games. 700 + 100 for a disc drive is taking the poss though. Never thought I'd see a day when we have to buy a separate disc drive 😂 They should have added a usb cable to the disc drive to really add insult to injury 😂 All that said though. I. Happy playing my PS1. And I'm more excited for the upcoming Atari 7800 Plus.

I’m happy to go back and play older stuff too, always said this will likely be my last generation and this is another nail in that coffin. I wouldn’t be surprised if PD came out on the 5 at some point, all depends on the “sales” 👀 do Xbox have sales anymore with most stuff being on game pass 🤷♂️. Is that new Atari got the cartridge slot so you can play all Atari games?
@@An_idiot_onthe_netSorry mate. I didn't get a notification for this reply. TH-cam app 🙄 Yeah the Atari 2600+ and the upcoming Atari 7800+ play the old carts on a modern TV via hdmi. And they are also releasing new homebrew games as well as re-releasing old Atari games with new physical releases. I have the 2600+ and it's fantastic.
To be honest, i'm not even thinking about the inevitability of a PS6 and beyond, ...plus the no disc drive is automatically a turn-off with digital games 👎👎(with exception of good indies).
The way it’s all going I’m done after this I’m curious as to what Nintendo release as it’s heavily thought to be backwards compatible but that would be my last. These days good indies are getting physical releases luckily for me. Might be hinting at an upcoming video there 👀

Im still buying it , I have a 77 inch OLED and it’s gonna look amazing with this new system. Besides I been 100% digital this generation so no disc drive won’t bother me.

I only buy physical disc games so the £700 pro console is pointless 😂 Having to buy a disc drive separately is a joke.
I can’t believe they called it a pro, people defending it as an enthusiast product and it doesn’t come with a disc drive. The 30th pro model does!
