    Thank you for showing the markings so well. ❤ I am finally able to make a sleeve for my daughter's dress that we are usung as a pattern for another, but need a long sleeve for instead of a ruffle as a sleeve.😊.I watched another tutorial, but it didnt mention how to the sleeve for the existing bodice, and they didn't show how to write the lines. I appreciate the visual explanation that you did! ❤

    THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!! I copied a dress bodice I already had that was sleeveless and wanted to add sleeves to the pattern. I'd never done sleeve drafting before and was a bit intimidated that I wouldn't be able to get it to work. I tried 4 times to draft a sleeve from a few other websites/blogs, but something just didn't seem *quite right* about them, and it turned out they were missing the sleeve cap measurements! I followed your instructions, and while I'll need to adjust the sleeve cap height (which I found your other video on how to do just that!), I was able to draft a sleeve that looks exactly how I wanted to! 🎉👗

    You’re awesome, Allow me to describe my perfect dress pattern that I hope to create with your help. Ok imagine a full circle skirt that’s slightly below the knee, connected to a bodice that is form fitting with a crew neck (both front and back) and elbow length sleeves that are form fitting as well. Oh and a back invisible zipper that goes from the top to hip without creating a full seam down the back of the skirt. Let’s do this!

    Great video. Can you talk about symmetrical vs asymmetrical sleeve caps (shape)? If I followed correctly we have two different opening lengths on the front and back of the garment but the sleeve draft splits the added numbers evenly. Help in understanding this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Thank you for this, it was very helpful. I did mess it up when you gave the formula for the arm scye (not sure I spelled that correctly) as when you said to add a quarter I thought you meant a quarter of the measurement, not a quarter inch! Ended up with a massive sleeve with way too much to ease in. Went back and did the math for your measurements and realized my mistake. Second try ended up much better.

    • @SewAnastasia
      @SewAnastasia  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh good. I am glad you figured it out. Happy drafting.

    I love your video's you make it so much easier. Question, you first labelled C as sleeve cap then referred to it as bicep. Does it really matter? I do think they were different measurements though no?

    • @SewAnastasia
      @SewAnastasia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bicep line is the bottom of the sleeve cap. Hope that helps. I ramble & talk a lot sometimes lol 😂. The worst part of design & sewing is that everything has like 4 different names but they are the same thing. I will have to watch the vid again to fully answer your question though. Thanks for watching!

    • @SewAnastasia
      @SewAnastasia  ปีที่แล้ว

      This sleeve actually turns out fairly loose. You can always add more room to it through the slash and spread technique though. So this way you are keeping the arm hole measurement the same but making it bigger through the arm. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching.

    4:08 by now because of all the blubber, you scared away the beginners. Instead of explaining.how to get the measurement of a back armhole and explain why the front is different, you are blubbering about how SCARY complicated the book description is, meaning that's where you scare the beginners into.a frenzy. Why do these videos if you want to rather address a mirage of unrelated info then maybe the title should reflect "not beginner friendly"!
    Again just TMI on unrelated things, vs. too little info on why the back armhole has different measure than the front.
