Pro tip; if you dont want to cut it off or cant cut it off, you can find a slightly bigger star bit or torq bit and hammer it in, or even just push it in. It will bite the stripped inner bolt and you can remove the bolt!
Sorry but that is far from a "pro tip". A pro tip would be more like- Pre soak your hardware with a quality penetrating oil and wire brush the threads before working on any suspensiin and steering components.
most cars i have worked on had that same design on end links. i also learned hard way that you should always spray rust off/wd40 and then use metal brush to clean thread (blow torch not needed), since most of the rust is at the end of the bolt where nut gets stuck. :) hope next time goes easier. keep up the good stuff
Next time use dielectric grease. It's water resistant and holds up way better to temperature change. You get packets of it free when you buy a bulb as a bonus too.
I have a RSX and both of my end links poped out at diffrent times last year. They also had a alen key design, and it took me 5 hours of trying to take them out. I decided to cut it after I had enough of it and it took a couple of minutes. :/
if you just change the front swaybar without any oder changes your car will put more load on the outside front tire when cornering and therefore shift the cars behaviour more towards understeering!!! of course that can be good or bad depending on our vehicle but I'd say most factory cars are already disigned more towards understeering...
Thanks for the vid!! Planning on swapping my Sway Bar bushings on my Mk3 so this is good info. Im thinking an easy way to get those endlinks off (the top one atleast) is to hit it with some heat and brap it off with an impact. What do you think? Thanks
I hate this sway bar links also ,but an impact gun ,some heat ,wd40 and cleaning the threads would definitely help out , heat cannot be used if you plan on re using them !
By a e36.... Is there anyone that knows if i can use a front swaybar in THE back of the e36. And what fit. Test ride soon and see if it helps. And how it is working. Love this Kind of mods!! Thanks!! Endlinks on THE Jasper performance Supra was hell!!! We fitted a fredric aasbo Stering kits. He made some for some Supra's mk4 in Norway.
Could you not have put the end links on the new sway bar before you put it in? That's how I did the one on my car. I put the links on and then put the bar in place
Changing just the front swaybar on a stock car is one of the bad handling mods you can do. Pretty much all road cars are set up to mild to heavy understeer. By stiffening the front swaybar the car will understeer more. If you change the front one you have to change the rear too (unless you actually want more understeer).
one other while your in there thing should have been urethane sway bar bushings. only like 10$ and urethane bushings are really worth it. i love mine. some people complain it makes it really ride too rough but hell if your doing performance mods you should stay away from pot holes anyway. and Mitsu uses those same FUCKING ENDLINKS!
+jerri0401 they are ball joints it doesn't matter but if its rubber with the steel sleeve end links/control arms you need to torque while the suspension is loaded.
get rid of the cat and open up exhaust. that'll get you some fuel economy. also, try a front bar on a FIAT Fffuuu... also watch suspension truth's video of the hidden cost of sway bars
Poor Man Mods it would be good to track AFR before and after as well. I know most say don't get a tune without finishing mods first but for the purpose of science, it may be required for optimal economy!

I was waiting for the stock bar to fall and hit you in the face when you were pissed. lol
Damn I totally coulda staged that lolol
I love living in Arizona 😁 not a spot of rust anywhere!
Kurtis Brabeck but your cars melt lol
@@DarienCharlton *Laughs in Car Covers and 20x20 Canopy*
Don't put warm nuts on your lip. haha. Good video man!
+Joe Flo (JoeFlo562) hahaha thanks
I got problems in THE back on my e36. Look like a dog going to take a leak on THE Nurburgring. So pleas try back ones to. Love it!!!

+xStr8UPDoPex yeah they suck

Dominik Hofmann Agreed. I'd prefer installing rear sway bars. Drifting is more fun lol
What's he difference between the old sway bar and the new one?
The new one is thicker and stiffer
I love how pretty pissed he is the whole video.

+Julian Raimondo you can try that
"I just forcefully took this bolt off, better check if it's hot by putting it on my face." hahaha other than that, pretty cool video
+nine40p lolol
is easy to take off that nut if u torch the nut and vice grip the bushing side a shoot it out with a 17 mm impact. all Toyotas has that design.
I hate this sway bar links also ,but an impact gun ,some heat ,wd40 and cleaning the threads would definitely help out , heat cannot be used if you plan on re using them !

My is 300 creaks a lot when backing up in morning any ideas? I already replaced the lower ball joints
Probably just the brakes
what about the rear sway bar
thanks for the install video. are there other aftermarket designs for the endlinks for the is300?
+Garrett Martin no problem. Im not sure, i didnt look into aftermarket designs
+Garrett Martin Yes there is shopfigs.com/v1/index.php?route=product/product&path=42&product_id=78
Figs
Would that cause a cluncking type of sound if it was broken by chance
If the end links are broken or loose it will clunk
Do you need an Allignment after you install them?
nope!
Should end links be changed at 200k miles?
Probably
Break the sway bar nut with a impact then use the alan key to spin it
Hate those things lol

I came here to see how to take wheels off.
+boofighter lol
since when u got a is300.
+t dub since June
Honda has used that same design for end links. It absolutely fucking blows.

+imCapone1124 im pretty sure the ones that came with the bar were urethane
you didnt get adjustable end links?
+Havel The Wall nope
I'm doing links on a 1998 altezza and it's done 500000 ks
next time, instead of putting the nut on your lip, you can usually smell if it's hot or feel it in your nose if the air gets hot :)
+Nicolai Petersen haha thanks
isnt it better so tighten these nuts with the vehicle on the ground?
+jerri0401 they are ball joints it doesn't matter but if its rubber with the steel sleeve end links/control arms you need to torque while the suspension is loaded.
2jz na-t reduces fuel economy. srt intake too
+zomski101 even keeping the stock injectors and running really low boost?
rear? wouldn't this create understeer?
+bigsheamy im not sure
+bigsheamy thicker/harder (whatever it's called) sway bars in the rear than in the front result in oversteer. The opposite in understeer of Course.
nice :)
+Drifter Thug thank you
get rid of the cat and open up exhaust. that'll get you some fuel economy. also, try a front bar on a FIAT Fffuuu...

+Brodey Dover i plan on doing something with the exhaust soon

+Jokkeri methhhh
what brand of rotors are those?
+Mogo McG ebay lol

the feels for poorly designed/engineered parts. I know the feels too well :(
+Zadiel Vazquez :(
lofl on the hex ends on the links
+alec k lol
+Poor Man Mods haa
I had to cut my end link on my supra shit got me mad lol now I'm not running a sway bar #causedriftcar😂😂😂
