    Worked again with the most recent addition of a CRTouch and newest version of UF2 firmware. FOLLOW the directions folks, don't mess yourself up by missing the details.
    ALSO, if you install your CRTouch but don't get around to installing the firmware for a week or so, BE GENTLE with your probe. I was chasing firmware issues and I had a BENT CRTouch probe tip. Bent back and now it's back in action.

    After using the firmware for a few month on a v4.2.2 motherboard I ordered a new motherboard v4.2.2.7 from Creality. When trying to compile the firmware for the new MB it's ending up with an compile error on module "Marlin/src/HAL/STM32/timers.cpp" with message "Default timer interrupt priority is unspecified or set to value which may degrade performance" . I selected in VSC the tab "Auto Build Marlin" the environment option "STM32F103RET6_creality" to compile. I assume that's a correct step to determine the processor of the new board. What did I do wrong here? Any ideas? Any suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks

    I flashed a bootloader using the bootloader video and that worked perfectly, then installed this firmware on an original cr10 i got used for cheap. at first i had issues with the hot end temp fluctuating to much and tripped the thermal runaway i believe (printer just reset). I had the part cooling fan set to turn on after 1st layer and i think the combo of hot end temp dropping from 230 to 220 plus the parts cooling fan over shot the temp and it would drop to about 210 and it couldn't get back to 220 before thermal runaway kicked in. changed the fan to come on after 3rd layer to give 1st to 2nd layer temp change time to stabilize and now it will finish the print without tripping thermal runaway. works but feels like a band aid, at least i know thermal runaway works. would adding a moffset to the hot end fix this more permanently? also i now have the baby stepping option in the tune tab on the printer screen but when i adjust it up .025 and save settings, it just says 0.000 when i go back to z baby step tab. shouldn't the baby step setting be showing in the tab after adjustments?

    • @TH3DStudio
      @TH3DStudio  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You'd want to run a PID tune with the fan on. Thats pretty common on some hotend cooling setups.
      As for the babysteps, those ONLY save when using an ABL. If you constantly have to adjust without one, level your bed.

    Great video and good instruction. What I noticed though, when I'm enabling the printer (Ender-3 v4.2.2 RCT6, BL-Touch 5-pin) and flash the printer with that fw, I don't have a software option for BL-touch probing the bed. And I can't get it going to set the Z offset (approx. -2.2mm). Do I miss here something or is that missing in den firmware?

    • @TH3DStudio
      @TH3DStudio  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use the Level Bed option in the Motion menu. If its missing, its because the firmware wasn't configured correctly. There also is a BLTouch menu in the configuration menu as well.

    Recently pulled my Anet A8 out of storage and trying to get it up and running. I have an auto levelling sensor SN04-N, is that covered in your firmware? It's been that long since I used the printer, although I updated to Marlin 1.1.9 at some stage, but as I've rebuilt it onto a metal frame, the sensor is in a different location and needs adjusted in the firmware, thought I'd give yours a try this time. Hoping the bootloader is there and lets me add the firmware easily 🤔

    • @TH3DStudio

      Not familiar with that sensor. You can probably make it work but can't be of much help.

    Are there plans to further customise the advanced pause settings? When doing a filament swap to change colours the Hemera has a little bit of plastic that breaks off in the extruding gears when using the default settings which should be addressed

    • @TH3DStudio
      @TH3DStudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do that right now if you look in the configuration_adv.h file. That is were those settings are located. Our firmware is setup to cover general setups. If you have a custom setup (like the Hemera) then you will need to fine-tune the settings for your specific setup if the defaults are not optimal for your liking. We also have paid technical support available for people who want us to go over custom setups and are not sure where/how to start.

    Great tutorial, very helpful. Question... After installing this firmware I am no longer getting complete bilinear grid outputs when running G29 (even while running with a verbose argument) in Pronterface. It seems to be a truncated output compared to the output I received with stock firmware. Is there a command I can include prior to compiling to increase the output? I'm always curious to see my bed mesh in a visualizer and the output with this firmware doesn't supply enough probe data points. Thanks

    • @TH3DStudio
      @TH3DStudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      You may be running the wrong command for the visualizer since its a new marlin build. I assume you're using Octoprint so read their guide here: github.com/jneilliii/OctoPrint-BedLevelVisualizer/blob/master/wiki/gcode-examples.md
      The 1st example works for us on this firmware and our machines.
      G29 T after a G28 will output the grid data. Here is what mine output:

The TH3D firmware doesn't recognize the stored Z-offset (I tried for many hours, attempting every trouble shoot known) which is the issue with the bed level being so far out of range, and impossible to actually print with. Level Bed is likely not shown due to the memory limitations of the old board you have. You can still do a level bed command by sending a G29 command to the printer. Also those boards are discontinued and we are no longer doing updates for them. We'd recommend upgrading to a 32bit board if you want to keep getting the latest updates and features.

      The Ender 3 Pro didn't come with a creality sensor. That combination is not supported in our firmware but if you modify the source code you can get it to work as long as the pin for the sensor is set to the pin you have it connected to as well as the trigger logic for the sensor set correctly as well.
