    If you need a little jazzy lofi music in the background, you can watch this version instead: th-cam.com/video/WcqlBpq5MtA/w-d-xo.html

    Hello… I adore your videos! Reminds me of years before 1990s when we had such machines…. ❤

    I love it! The faint blue watermark is perfect for cards like this. Very pretty!

    Quoins should be at top of forme, fixed furniture at foot (to match fixed bottom lay).
    Also, quoins are back to front - the inner wedges should point towards the fixed sides of the forme.

    Can't quite believe it but was fascinated all the way through. What does pulling the handle actually do? It sounds like something strikes the plate.

      That's the impression lever! Pulling it allows the paper to touch the printing plate 😉

    I kept hoping the counter would go beyond "8". 😄

      I hate it when the counter gets stuck!! 😅

    Amo tu trabajo. Estoy a punto de comprarme una maquina de esas. La encontré en estado de abandono.
    I love your job. I'm about to buy one of those machines. I found it in a state of abandonment

    Its just blank??

    • @poppypressstudio
      @poppypressstudio  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not blank, the illustration is printed in a pale seafoam green. I love muted tones!

    Not sure why you move your press so fast. Those guys in Sacramento museum use to move it more slowly like half as much, but they can print continuously and just put paper in and out each turn so it looks more efficient and less difficult.

      Must have had too much caffeine that day I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️ I prefer to skip feed anyway for better ink distribution on the rollers

      @@poppypressstudio It must need a lot of experience to know how much ink you put on and the pressures needed (set packings) to have a nice print, is it?

    • @poppypressstudio
      @poppypressstudio  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It does take experience and I'm definitely still learning! That's partly why I'm making these videos, to look back and see how my printing evolves and (hopefully) improves in time ☺

      @@attilakiss8585You'd be surprised how easy these machines are to operate. You need to be coordinated which is a must.

    You should of mixed a lot more ink

    • @poppypressstudio
      @poppypressstudio  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey thanks for the feedback. I typically don’t measure ink for personal projects like this one. I probably should have mixed a little more ink though. The camera angle makes it hard to see but the form was inked properly and the cards turned out exactly how I wanted! Thanks for watching ~

    Enthusiastic but not much correct, apart from machine running.

    • @JoseJimenez-mx8so

      Peter, you are correct, the blue tapes hold the "guides" that keep the paper in place, usually it is 2 guides at the bottom and one to the left and the paper is pushed to the corner trying to place it all the time at the same place if you are going to print over a 2nd, or 3rd. Color. I guess you already know that. Still this brings back memories of times long gone. I'm 78 y.o. and worked my print shop for 30 years.

      It's true, I typically use only 3 henry gauge pins but for some reason I felt like 4 would be better for registration on this job. Thanks for watching!
