Air from Bach's 3rd Orchestral Suite. Arranged by Siloti. One of Bach's most lyrical melodies, this piece is a prime example of how effective - and beautiful - simplicity can be. An Air (or Aria), is most commonly found in Operas as a standalone song performed by a singer, with an expressive melody. Although instrumental, Bach creates a similar experience and it's hard not to hear this melody as being sung by a voice, with the melody intricately woven into Bach's contrapuntal accompaniment. I hope you have an excellent Monday ♥
