They said that this is their hardest choreography. Idk if it's technically the hardest but it's for sure the most exhausting

    • @lesserafimchangedmylife
      @lesserafimchangedmylife 3 ปีที่แล้ว +264

Ya i think they meant most exhausting, its harder bc they’re focusing on the smallest details to get it to look clean, their choreography can easily look messy especially with the hand movements. So they have to have more control and strength which needs more energy. I was really wishing for a hip hop based choreo all around tho :,(

Dancing it solo, for me it’s definitely not the hardest in terms of moves; but their formations and transitions + singing is what makes this choreography their most challenging tbh i end up pretty exhausted after dancing i don’t wanna imagine moving around, singing and being stage present lmao

I think it also plays to their strengths. If the moves in wannabe are really easy for them to do, but hard for most of us, then opinions on the difficulty of the routine would be different. I’d be exhausted in both choreo LOL

There is one reason that girl groups will always be superior to boy groups:
As a trained dancer myself, I find that it is EXTREMELY easy to synchronize leg and foot movements. However, arm movements are EXTREMELY difficult to synchronize due to the different muscles you use and what movement you're doing. Boy groups mostly have leg movements so their choreographies I find easier to learn and I've learned a substantial amount of boy group choreos. However, I have such a hard time learning girl group dances.

in the ending part of the video you talk about voices, and how having more volume makes it "easier". and actually it's the opposite way, 'cause volume comes with a lot of weight to your voice, unless your placement is sharp as a knife (for example, ariana grande, having a really really light voice but her placement is so flawless that her volume is really high). when you naturally have a heavy voice, it comes with more volume, but you also consume a lot of air. that's why this girl always sounds (at least for me) a liiittle bit out of breath on every live performance. it's definitely not a bad thing, just things that come with your voice weight. usually having a lighter voice makes it easier to control the volume by adjusting your placement. with heavy voices it's harder to do that, 'cause instead of trying to lift something up, you're actually trying to control your voice a lot more, so you don't run out of breath on the first 30 secs of the song. (i don't mean to educate anybody, i'm only trying to bring up my experience in this since i have a really heavy voice)

Yes when the girls were picking the hardest part of this choreo, ryujin said it was more so the whole dance because of the dynamics that u pointed out, they had to really keep in mind the parts that were strong, medium sharp and dainty ones and they were throughout the whole dance. I really love when two or more people who have never even been in the same room pick up or talk about the same things because it lets me know that everyone knows what they’re talking about. Long story short, new subscriber hi 🙃
And yes Yuna is resonance defined! I just love u picking up on this stuff i could cry 😭

Watching this reaction was difficult yet pleasing. Them dancing makes me wanna look yet I keep on staring at your beautiful face and listen to what you're saying at the same time. That accent and gay sass in your tone makes me love you more.

from what I’ve seen, they’re dance practice rooms aren’t that wide or deep, especially since a lot of them have been renovated/redone. the biggest practice room I’ve seen is one of the old SM ones (you can see it in exo’s growl dance practice)

Even if they are wide and big it doesn't matter, the sound will not echo because the walls are damped (they use special acoustic material on the walls and ceilings) The same way big auditoriums are so the voice doesn't echo or lose sound energy before it reaches their ears. You can search echo reduction on internet if u want.

I (personally) think that "resonance" you pointed out to Yuna is her commendable sense of "space". I think it's a bit difficult to understand but, some vocalists can somehow "naturally" control their voices depending on which "space" they are in. In this case, all of them (especially Yuna) has that great sense of controlling their volumes or voices.

its remarkable and i love that they did it but its not a first, here have this obscure reference from days of kpop past: the group 100% of top media released along with their first mv and single Bad Boy a dance practice with live vocals, very impactful at the time, became a bit of a thing they kept doing

IDK if this is the BEST video to watch if ur ONLY focusing on the DANCE because the girls are also singing and i feel the official dance practice is better, but they ABSOLUTELY nailed this one so its okie

The wall behind the girls in the dance practice room is the short end of the room. The length (mirrored wall) is probably 3 times longer.

Tbh Yeji is insane, after all she gets the most lines but I think Chaeryeong is the most stable. Yeji gets more lines bc her voice is more versatile and in your face tho

If you would like a hear a girl group sing with lots of harmony, Red Velvet just released a cover of a Boa song yesterday, for her 20th anniversary called Milky Way, and Wendy is back singing in that too !!
    I can't recommend it enough
