ABOUT ME:
I'm Cambodian and Chinese.
I was born in November of 1983 (which makes me 37 years old) and raised in Houston, although my heart lays in between Houston and Hawaii.
"OG KPOP STAN": I've always used the term "OG" (supposedly "original gangster") to define being old-school, and I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Kpop was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in my younger years and it's just stuck by me ever since. Also! Just to be clear: me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" doesn't mean that anyone who's listened to kpop later than me is inferior. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time.😄
I was a hiphop dancer for about 7 years. I did the whole crew thing, auditioning thing, competition thing, choreography thing, dance instructor thing, so I have some experience in that field and I hope to be able to share some perspective from my experiences for y'all to see the extra things that I appreciate about a video when I point them out.
-My videos can have quite a lot of cuts in editing and/or my eyes will unnaturally blink rapidly sometimes. This is because of my neurological disease that came with my lupus nephritis (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). My thinking abilities and speaking abilities struggle to align at times.

Itzy’s ability to dance that hard live and sing well live is the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen in kpop and I don’t even fully Stan them.
Finally you reacted to ITZY! I knew you would like it since they have amazing choreography just like their brother Stray Kidz. They were dubbed as "Rookie Monsters" last year tieing with BTS on award wins(21 wins) that is why they are famous. Anyway, Wannabe is their most watched MV and the choreography is amazing in there as well but if you dont mind watching the whole Not Shy choreography again I recommend Not Shy stage practice because this shows them singing live with no(or minimal) backing track.
I think its better if you start watching MVs and dance practices from their debut song "Dalla Dalla" then "Icy" and finally "Wannabe" so that you can see how they kept getting better and better each comeback. Dont worry though, their MVs has no connecting story so you wont miss out on anything wherever you start(except their Catchy songs and amazing choreography). They only have 4 title tracks so I dont think it would consume a lot of time. They also have dance practices for their bsides if you want to check it out.
As long as you watch them all I don't care in what order since they don't have that many MV's anyway so far. Love your reactions btw!

Itzy is an insanely dance driven they essentially have 4 main dancers and only 1 who isn’t an official dancer (no not actually 4 main dancers only 2 BUT all of their dancers are good enough for them to be main) they’re awesome
Itzy is reallly good at synchronization!! I love watching their dance practices. Also they have a performance practice of Not Shy as well (where they actually sing while dancing)

Thank You for sharing this. I have been around since the beginning but for some reason I discovered while rewatching reactions I love that I did not give you a like or leave a comment. So I am fixing that now. Thumbs up. I really enjoyed watching you start your journey again. (Cheshire has now sold 1 million copies on circle chart (NOV 30-DEC 31) their 2nd album of 2022 to do so, no girl group has ever released 2 - One million seller albums in the same year).

It's a long shot that you see my comment but I think you would really like mcnd's TOP Gang (the group consists of 5 members, 4 of which competed in "World Of Dance"). The dance break version has more dance and the song is actually a predebut song and it shows their dancing skills.

itzy is one of the most talented groups ever, you have to react to their oder dance practices because they are soo good and also the AAA dance practice is amazing and one of their dance practices where they dance and sing live. just a few recommendations :)
You definitely gotta see Wannabe next! Itzy have been strong since debut and I love that they're empowering young women and encouraging self-love, at 28 I'm probably not in their 'target demo' but that message is something I still really need and their songs are such BOPS :3

For me I don't know if Itzy will ever top Wannabe. For the obvious reason, but also the dance break and Ryujin and Yeji came with the intention of leaving no survivors that day.

I'm a Midzy and I'm happy at this choreo because the formations are so good unlike their previous comeback where formations seems limited
Yeah the choreography in here is lot more crisp and smooth, the transitions is amazing, the formations had purposes, which means they are improving each comeback.
I totally recommend going in chronological order. Start with Dalla Dalla, Icy and then Wannabe. Not Shy was only their fourth comeback but they are so polished!
Omg yesss itzy. They have 3 other title track mvs and I really enjoy all of them. Also!! Another new girl group I think you’d like is cignature! They debuted earlier this year and they have 3 title tracks: ARISONG, ASSA, and Nun Nu Nan Na. And those all have mvs and dance practices. Their music is a lil quirky and they are super cool (especially in ASSA). They’re one of my favorite new girl groups right now. I’d love if u saw them

Itzy are absolute dance machines. Wannabe is great. They love making practice shoots too... sped up, slowed down, switching parts at random, wearing fancy dress! Insanely talented.

This girl is gonna be shook when it comes to their other choreos, especially Wannabe and Icy. Those two are miles ahead of Not Shy.
In my opinion not shy is miles ahead of any of their dance up to date. Not shy doesnt have a definite dancebreak but if you look at the overall picture, not shy has the best transitions from different formation, it also dont let anyone just stand idly. Every move connects to another and it is done in a smooth way. But then again, its all about preference. All of their dance is amazing, and I can really see they have improved each comeback ♥️

Whats crazy is that they’re all so young and amazing at dancing and singing. The 2 oldest are 20, Yeji and Lia (Yeji is the one driving the car,and Lia is the short one with the 2 uneven ponytails) Next up Ryujin and Chaeryeong both 19 years old (Ryujin with the cowboy hat at the beginning and Chaeryeong with the orangish hair,the one saying “itzyyyy”) Last but not least the baby of the group, Yuna who is 16 years old,shes the one with black hair and bangs).
i'm sure you'll see a lot of itzy's talents quickly enough through just going through their other three title tracks! any order is fine, really. also some fun facts for you:
-ryujin (short blonde hair) is friends with loona's hyunjin and heejin, since they all competed on a competition show called mixnine together - she and heejin even made it into the final girls' lineup.
-chaeryeong (brown hair w/ bangs in mv, one-shoulder top in dance practice) was a potential twice member, she competed against all the members for a spot in the lineup!
-also, chaeryeong's sister chaeyeon is the main dancer of iz*one. you'll know her when you see her, since a lot of people mistake them for twins. both really incredible dancers.
-it's super unusual for a kpop group to have a dance line of more than half the group, but itzy goes even further with a 4 member dance line - you'll definitely see why that's the case naturally. lia (medium length brown hair) is the only non-dance line member, but even so, she does really well to keep up with the other girls and has been improving very quickly!
Definitely check out their other songs. You ought to see them in chronological order to get a sense of their progression as well. They hit the ground running, and they've only improved with every MV. Thanks for a good vid. :)
i'm actually giddy you finally noticed itzy. i think going with chronological order would be better cause it's gonna show you how they continue getting better and better even with their dance practices. with their numerous not shy dance practices uploaded, they had one where they were singing live too.

I recommend you TXT and ITZY for dance performances. THEIR CHOREOGRAPHIES , POWER AND ENERGY IS INSANE for a 4th gen group.
Lot of people think Itzy has somewhat "badass" concept but the messages in their title tracks lean more toward "be yourself/confident" which may be small difference but in my opinion a very significant and refreshing one. Nevertheless, a very good performance/dancing group. Should also check out some of the members' cover dances (which include short stray kids backdoor cover by Ryujin) - is fun.
