What equipment do you have ? For me ,I use the following for my training:- Punching bag Relfex punching ball Skipping rope Weights for shadow boxing Some tennis balls And obviously gloves and wraps, tell me if I am missing something

Been thinking about this topic for a while -- still working on some designs! I used to just stand my bed mattress upright and punch that, when I was younger. I'll have to start brainstorming for this video!
Stacked car tires. Also cut a tire in half and screw it to a plank, mount on wall. Great for uppercuts, straight punches, and even hooks. Preferably one that does not have a steel belt.
Also you can buy one of those huge inflatable balls at Walmart in the fitness section for like 8 bucks. Fill it with water and hang it. Boom, you've got a homemade hydro bag.
Oh yeah and one last thing; while not technically a heavy bag, I say this is more important anyways. A double end bag. Get a pieces of bungee straps in varying lengths to adjust height and tension. Throw a slightly underinflated, cheap basketball in a basketball net. Hook a carabiners through all the loops, one for each end, and then twist and wrap the twisted part with duct tape. Now hook to eye bolt in ceiling and weight plate on the floor and have fun.
An old baseball drill is good, bottle cap baseball. The pitcher stand 5-10 feet from the batter. He pitches bottle caps, throwing them like frisbees. It really helps to build hand-eye coordination and hand/bat speed. Another good drill is for a person to stand at another side. The person has a foam bat, When they swing the bat at the person, he blocks it with his arm. Start with arms at your side, then behind your back, then in your pockets.
Don't forget doing this in an open area. You can throw the ball against a wall and run towards it and get it spin, throw it again and run to it. Faster stronger footwork and conditioning along with having to react with full speed and also you can switch arms to keep a solid balance
Greetings to everyone! My name is Sebas and I'm from Romania. I practice mma for a couple of months and I have a problem. After the ground training I feel an intense pain in the forehand. When I stay on the ground everything is ok, the pain appears when I'm standing up. If I go back on the ground the headache disappeare. My blood presure at half an hour after the training vas 116/75. I write here because in Romania we don't have good medics and I don't trust them. Tanks!
I'm surprised you didn't mention one of the best ones. Throw the ball against the wall at a reasonable distance, let it bounce on the floor on its way back to you, then punch it back to the wall. If you're accurate, your punch will be a racket and you can continuously hit the ball back as it bounces to you. You can practice jabs and uppercuts this way as well as footwork depending where the ball goes.
For the fifth drill, I saw Teofimo Lopez threw one ball with his right hand and caught it with the same one, and did the same but the left, did it simultaneously
I find myself feeling proud as I'm better than Shane using a Tennis Ball for Boxing drills, at the very least during the period he released this video. You can tell Shane really hasn't practised that much with a Tennis Ball at this point. Edit: #4 is basically a Basketball drill.
Hey Shane, is it alright to do real punches on a speed bag the same way one would do on a double end bag? Most of the DE bags are too short for me hence I thought of using the speedbag as substitute instead.
Hey Shane, I've got an upcoming charity MMA match in a couple of months but I've got no prior experience with the sport. Of course I watch your videos and others and have a rough idea of techniques and all that, but I was wondering if you had any tips to give an absolute beginner to try get me fight ready. As far as I know the other fighters also have little or no experience so it's not as if I'm going up against a Diaz brother. Anything's appreciated, thanks -Jamie

There's something really humbling seeing Shane a little outside his comfort zone, even the coaches have to train - really great video!
Oh yeah, I'm still very much a student -- always will be! 🙏
Good enough is the enemy of excellence
doing the "1000 yard stare" can really help you to activate your peripheral vision. its like you're looking at everything and nothing all at once.
Akira Kush peripheral vision is basically seeing from the front and the side.
@@jesusiskingofkingsz what is the 1000 yard stare?
ENZAN NO METSUKE
They all sound like solid drills, especially useful to see a low equipment drill for peripheral vision. Appreciate it 🥊
Man the second drill is a game changer, great video bro!
Your ability to pump out vast amounts of fight tips is amazing

In the 3rd drill, instead of trying to catch the ball from above, can I catch it from below, sort of an uppercut motion?
I am so hooked to this channel ! like I wish I started earlier..damnn !!!
I already knew a couple of these drills but it's really interesting

Going in close and doing things fast is the hardest level of this shit
Farther and slower = easier, likewise closer and faster = harder

How many times per week should this be trained?
Bruhhhhh 💪📖💪
I was doing the catching ones but with 15lb dumbbells.
try bouncing the ball to your friend, the ball will bounce just to head height then you grab the ball overhand at the end of a jab or back hand
