Thanks for Watching!!! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Nice video Ross. Great timing with the weather. Seems this weather is crazy this year. Tell Buddy great job keeping up with you. Thanks for sharing.
You got some beans in, good deal!
Run Ross Run!.... plant them seeds... the animal sounds came when he got soaked..
proud you got some planting done hopefully it will turn out great
Thanks for taking us along for bean planting Ross!
Thanks for watching!!!!
Good to see you got it done.
Good old faithful companion Buddy. He seems to be ever present -no matter what the weather is he’s out there running along side. Best of luck on the beans. 👍🏻
Don’t ya just love it when everything is going so well then something breaks &@$?/😢
Turning into the farm of happiness
😄😄😄👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Paul!
Enjoyed the ride!
I just did the same thing Ross trying to beat the rain coming in and boy did it feel good to beat it ! I had to have a 50W wobble pop when I got done ! Bandit
We had always spread fertilizer on bean ground. We used a grain drill but we had a white 5100 6rn for corn.
It definitely helps!
its always aa race against the weather one way or anoyther.
fertlizer alwaya pays off in the long run.
Whereas legumes can fix nitrogen from the air, fertilizer is not just nitrogen. So go ahead and spread it and hopefully you'll make a profit!
Ross, a man after my own heart. His glass is not half full or half empty. His glass is completely empty with a crack in the bottom. 🤣
It would be awesome if you could work ground that fast buddy
It’s still tons faster than before I had the 4-180 and 9650
you must have pretty heavy river bottom soil.
I thought, he's moving along with that planter. Then the music started... 😂
Rush rush rush wait!!! Ah the joys of farming!!! Good job Mr. Ross! Keep
Pushing for the mark!
Good practical thinking on putting the broken chain on the one side.
Thanks! That’s an old trick
That was a great day. Thanks for sharing and I'll see you later.
Thanks Jonathan!
😁👍👍🌦⚡☔ thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great job getting field finished
Thanks Stephen!
Such peaceful work just forget the world's problems and go
It’s my happy place
I enjoyed watching this video, it's a special privilege to see the ground prepared and planted. I haven't done that for about 40 years more or less, it was with my dad in the 80's when I last did it. I hope you do well with the planting, best of luck and success Ross, have a great day!
Always something that bites one on their behind. Swapping that chain shows ingenuity. Great Video. Moisture? look at the bright side, there will be moisture for the beans to germinate. Much better than putting them in totally dry soil and get no rain to germinate. Great video
Thanks Gary!!!
Can you adjust the marker arms so they drop sooner
We endeavor to persevere. Great hustle to beat the rain . Great video Ross , see ya tomorrow
That corn right across the road is looking good. Keep the rubber side down Ross !
Have you ever thought about sticking money in that planter and using it for corn and beans?
When the seed cells fill up it raises the pressure. I always zip tie my pto lever in gear and let it run any time the tractor is. I've bumped it out but not all the way into brake position. Just the drag of the clutches turn the pump enough to plant some but not well. That 1855 has great oil pressure. Sounds perfect.
Thanks for the video I enjoyed it.
Thanks John!
You had a strong day of progress. Mechanical mishaps at planting are a part of farming for all of us. I broke a hydraulic fitting on the corn planter marker, sheared a drive pin on one fertilizer hopper shaft, and blew a hydraulic line on the air pump...but made some repairs and got it done. Drive chains can be problematical to say the least. Try to keep extra offset and coupler links on hand (not always the needed size LOL)
Exactly, even if you're not going to put nitrogen on your beans they still need p and k so fertilizer is always a good idea, The guy I work for gets some kinda blend that works out to 18-60-60 that we put on every year
Great to see you getting some seeds in the ground
Well the rain held off long enough for you to get it in the ground. That is lucky. I love the sound of the 1855. Don't you also have a 1955 with a cab you were going to fix up?
Yes, I need to get back to that project. It’s really rough. I’m taking donations from the audience $$$ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
iro lasts looger if you dont work it to the max.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
I know what you mean about having one tractor with a modern cab and not sixty years old, mines a 2294 case because I can’t afford something else 😂 but it’s been a good one
Have you ever done no till
No but I have a no till 6100 planter. I’d like to have that as an option
It maybe orange but it still has a white cab on it and some parts tgat are white so you not miss much from your olivers
How many acres can you plant between fillups with that planter buddy?
Depends on the seed size but I plant a bag and a half- bag and 3/4 per acre. Each hopper holds about a bag and a half, So 13 rows will plant about 13 acres.
Is Buddy a Blue Healer?
Yes!
Soybeans love their potash. Is that your spreader or a rental? Our rentals come pre set to whatever you ordered.
How do your soybean yields using a precision planter compare to a grain drill?
We never did use a grain drill but this planter works tons better than anything previous. I’ve only had it for 2 years or so but I’ve gotten in to the 50-70 bu range. Before that I was in the 35-55 range.
Is there a reason why your ancestors left those trees in the corner of that field?
It’s a swamp. It was our sow lot when we had pigs.
@@rosstheoliverman yep, good choice. Thanks
1855 sounds GREAT . Did you get rid of the animals ? have not herd the a pig , cow , chicken. ????????.
Them planter boxes bouncing individually look like wack a moles. lol. Comical to watch
Is buddy an inside dog?
