That's what happened to my old 1460 discbine. I priced parts and just couldn't justify fixing it considering the age and condition of the whole machine. That's some great looking rye. Mine headed last week but it's way to wet to get in it yet.
Keep your knives sharp and keep your chopper full it will chop it up nice and fine. Had a neighbor that pulled a new holland chopper with a 4630 jd black smoke just pouring out of that thing 12ft windrow. The guy I worked for had a 2390 case jd 3970 chopper plus had a windrow mizer on the front we could chop 2 12ft windrows of hay it never smoked like the neighbors tractor. God bless
Check your spout looks like it moving probably bolt on front adjustment also check crop guides just before knives why getting long pieces getting by sides like videos be safe 900 one of best chopper no made have any questions let me know worked on MhkjC choppers an had 900 for 10 years
That big 900 looks and sounds sweet. Damn that’s a tough repair on the mower. Two mowers will be nice but painful.
Lovely crops. All the rain brings challenges but man you should have lots of tons
Awesome crop good details on your video all best cow love that stuff once fermentation is complete
Thanks for watching!
Looks like a good yield. A lot of feed!
I baled mine, actually got it to dry enough for dry hay. Averaged 8.6 900# bales per acre! Very happy!
Good to see you still watching Brad! If this stuff feeds out alright, I might consider taking it to soft dough every year.

What did you put down for fertilizer to go for 100 bushel rye?

@@grote66 Something like 50lbs potash and 100lbs ams at plant last fall, top dressed with 200lbs of urea this spring.

How tight are them spouts supposed to be? Asked a couple of guys with NH choppers, and they all say they move a bit. Thanks for the comment!

@DarrellRobinson-ob1sk 👍 First thing I noticed running, it was the slop in it. Really moved when you got it blowing hard.
