The long-time friends look back on nearly 40 years of friendship, from meeting at school in 1981 whilst performing West Side Story, to having a number 1 hit single with Tom Jones and playing two of the most loved Welsh characters on British TV - Uncle Bryn & Nessa. Ruth also explains to Rob why she and James Corden had to keep the script for the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special a secret (even from him!).

Rob Brydon is best known for his work on The Trip, Gavin & Stacey and presenting the BBC One comedy panel show Would I Lie To You?

Brydon's hair transplant is a modern day fairytale, it's the best one I've ever seen.

I really didnt know Ruth and Rob go way back to school days ,or the incredible influence they have both had on each others careers. That was great . Loved Gavin and Stacey . I also loved Stella as well . Ruth is a great writer as well as a great actress.

The best characters I’ve ever seen are on Gavin and Stacey. The thing is, every single character is so entertaining from Deano to Doris, they are all amazing- and that’s rare I think. It is so nuanced I never tire of it!

Two British and Welsh legends, going back and forth with love hope memories .
I only discovered Gavin & Stacey in March of 2019 but instantly fell in love... by the time they announced the Christmas special I had watched the whole 3 seasons half a dozen times over & was totally stoked they’d decided to write another Christmas special. Such a beautiful show that gives you the warm & fuzzies amongst all the laughs.
I'm an American who loves all things British, and I recently found your videos on TH-cam. Love them! It was great to see you and Ruth interacting as friends off screen. That friendship chemistry really comes through when you two sing together on Gavin and Stacey.
Really hope Rob keeps doing these for a long time to come. Was so lovely seeing Ruth Jones again!
I hope Rob continues doing these podcasts so much, that he has run out of people to talk about him (Rob), and allow him to even focus on the other person and what _they_ have done.
BUT until then, I will still love these, "tell good stories about me" interviews until he gets acclimated enough to reach out to others beyond his scope of personal friends.
