He’s a great actor but he’s specifically doing a flat Midwestern accent but not overly twangy (makes sense since Tom is an educated Minnesotan); not just an “American” accent (which doesn’t exist any more than a “British” accent does). I’ve noticed that while the best British actors can totally nail those many of them struggle with more intensely regional ones, like Deep South or Boston. The non American actors on True Blood for example sound terrible 😂

I’ve only seen him in Pride and Prejudice he was so good in that role and I loved watching him walk. The scene at the end when he is walking to see her just such a presence. So great to see him out of character and recognize how that character is not him at all and what a great actor does how he becomes the character so fascinating ❤

I actually just started re-watching MI-5 last weekend... forgot how they were just babies haha! I totally adored "Ripper Street" myself. I was lucky enough to have been able to tape most of it, and will cherish them. It is another wonderful series where the chemistry he shared with Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothenberg was utterly wonderful (to me, at least). Dark, yet captivating. So well done. One of the best period piece of the Victorian era of Whitechapel, London.
Just binged watched season one and two and man was I hooked! Its got dark humor and twists, and the locations were fantastic! A lot of guilt free voyeurism of people in castles, penthouses, private jets and yachts. But under it all is a very dysfunction family who's money has warped them all. Cant wait for season 3!
He makes Tom such a adorkable character. At first, I thought he was kind of a prick, like he said to Greg himself, but as you keep watching the episodes, you see he's really awkward and he's trying so hard to fit into the family. That's why he's fond of Greg somehow, cause Greg's the sort of misfit and outsider and keeps a weight off Tom's shoulders. Idk... im still on season 1

If you notice, there are no acting credits in the show... at least in earlier seasons/series. The writers wanted to add to the anonymity of the characters (spies) so they chose to have no credits. I think they made deal that they'd appear in the DVD and also on a website.
