This channel should have way more subs! There are too many shouty YoutTubers pointing the camera up their nostrils trying to make it all about them. This channel is truly about the cars.
This is fantastic, what a beauties. Only a true expert and collector can explain those differences properly, thanks a lot. This is what a car channels miss, normal talk, calm and mature commentary, not the bs screaming drag races, launches. DK and Harry's garage are the best of the best.
A priceless video in both senses. Incredible to see (nearly) all the variations of this sublime and rare car in concours condition lined up as if they were as common as new Civics at a Honda dealership. Excellent guide, thanks James and the DK team.
What a fabulous informative video. Really enjoyed it . Thanks for the explanations on all the different variants 👍 Now we need a video on a 275 NART Spider 😁
Good day from Norfolk. Wonderfully detailed explanation of the range, very rare to hear such an articulate description with "actual" cars to reinforce the point. Many thanks.
Stunning lineup. I've always loved these cars as well. Thank you so much for sharing and explaining the history and differences. I will now pick my jaw up off the floor, thank you very much!
Thoroughly enjoyed that vid, great to see an expert in his field present information in a logical and memorable manner. I sat behind a one of these in traffic a few years ago whilst driving through Abergavenny of all places - I was in my 1970 DBS Vantage and the Ferrari owner gave me a thumbs up, made my day!
Best explanation i have ever heard. Have always been a bit daunted by all the different models of 275. Mind you, it isn't like i'm going to be shopping for one this side of a lottery win. lol
Very good differentiation video of the Ferrari 275 series. The GTB/C used an open propshaft apparently to make clutch changes easier in endurance racing. Also the 4 cam 275s used basically a single cam layout, with the timing chains revolving around one gear on each bank from which the chain met with the idler gears of the cams.
Fell in love with the 275 GTB/4 when I was just a boy in 1967. My favorite from Road & Track's Buyer's Guide of that year. Still my all-time favorite. Thank you!
Great video and explanation of the differences between the 275s. Nice also to see the silver 275GTB long nose still displaying the W.H Lowe sticker on the rear window (the then Melbourne (Australia) based importer/distributor)
What an excellent run through of these awesome cars. I couldn’t help noticing the W.H.Lowe dealer sticker on the rear window of the 5 275 long nose. They were the original Melbourne dealer. I went to school with a son in the 60’s. The showroom was a tiny building on Whitehorse Road, Balwyn. It’s long gone now. Just around the corner from where I live now. So amazing to see the car featured. I wonder who the original owner was. An ivory 275 lives around the corner now (not sure which model) along with a 250 California SWB.
Thank you so much. I like them all but the 275 is my all time favourite. If I understood things right the 275 was the base for the Spider NART which for me is the most beautiful and impressing car ever made.
Once went to buy a lamborghini silhouette was met buy a guy called julian I think looked like cliff richard..checked coat and black ski pants...he said follow me I'm around the corner in a red fiat...it was a 275GTBC...with no bumpers.. Great car thanks Julian (I think)..Great car..Great style.😊
Great video, although missing other variants. There's also an alloy bodied 275 GTC (C for Competizione) with 6 carburetors. I would have added photos of the engine bay if there was an option to do so in the comments. I am currently selling a 275 transaxle.
Excellent, but you did not mention the 2 cam long nose (silver) car had the outside laced Borrani wheels. That's unusual and I thought a feature of the 12 competition 2 cam cars. I had a 330GTC and it had a similar chassis (torque tube), a bit more weight and luxury, but had greater torque and a bit less free-revving nature than the 275. A bit less sporting, a bit more touring. I agree though, given an unlimited budget, a 275 is the ultimate classic Ferrari.
Am I the only one who prefers the exhaust note of the standard engine over the 4 cam? The 4 cam just seems to lack the snarling rasp I expect of a '60s Ferrari.
well it's all makes sense now, I think 🙄 My favourite would be an early shortie with borrani wires, in a chestnut metallic brown with a tan leather interior. I doubt it exists?
When talking about the 4 cam engine after pointing out the cams, the pictures provided seem to erroneously start showing a 2 cam engine…with color changing cam covers.
To say Ferrari overrated their horsepower figures, is a bit misleading. Prior to the 1970s, horsepower was calculated at the flywheel with no accessories.

Exactly. People love crap. This is not crap. It is pure love and art.
I literally was just about to say something similar.
No bait like every other channel on youtube. just pure beauty.
Welcome back James, we missed your videos
I second that. 👍
I love seeing so many absolutely gorgeous 60s Ferraris. The compound there is such a classy looking environment to film these.

Thank you Professor Conttingham !!! much appreciated
Been looking for a new daily driver so this is helpful

Great to see my all time favourite car in detail. But all of the different types lined up? Fantastic.
Thank you James for a thorough presentation.
Shout out to the skylarks singing thier hearts out in the background. Gorgeous cars too.
That green one is a stunning 👍👍👍
Wow, amazing. A TH-cam video with value. Thank you for the effort to put this together.

This is the kind of content I look for. So many variations, little bits and nuances about the different cars. Thanks! Love the presentation.
I drove Bruce Meyers’ Fly Yellow 275 GTB/4 back when I was at Road & Track Magazine in the early 1990s. They really are absolutely amazing cars!
Always been my favourite classic Ferrari road car and now I know all there is to know about them. Many thanks🙏🏼
What a bloody fantastic educational video. Very clear delivery. I will watch multiple times.
Excellent video and delivered with passion. Love DK Engineering

Fantastic video, with all the right info, very well delivered. A true pro.
Absolutely stunning!! Masterclass
Amazing setup - Love these in dept comparisons and stories.
Great video and explanation of the differences between the 275s. Nice also to see the silver 275GTB long nose still displaying the W.H Lowe sticker on the rear window (the then Melbourne (Australia) based importer/distributor)
Wow! What a flex. My favourite Ferrari. This video made my day. Stunning. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. This was so interesting to learn about the difference of the various types. 😊😊😊
Yes. Thanks you James. I really missed your vidéos.
Fabulous video, thanks for going into the detail!
Thanks James, please continue with making this kind of films !
Brilliant James, thanks so much for the peerless presentation.
Wow...what an amazing video on the 275GTB...incredible cars!
Entertaining and informative video, outstanding.
Fantastic video
Encyclopedic amazing viewing of these gems.
Fascinating stuff. Love it!
Thank you for making this video! So informative 👏 🇮🇹 🇬🇧
Stunning cars, very nice presented vid!! Thank you!
I much prefer the shortnose with the smaller rear window and hidden bootlid hinges.I could live with just two cams.!
Amazing video, thank you so much, I’ll definitely know where to come when I saved up.

First class presentation. Thanks.
Excellent presentation of the Ferrari 275 versions. Congratulations.
wonderful - so much to take in!
Dream machines!!
Thank you so much. I like them all but the 275 is my all time favourite. If I understood things right the 275 was the base for the Spider NART which for me is the most beautiful and impressing car ever made.
That was a very informative video and god do they look great!
Excellent, thank you!
a nart spyder of course : ) otherwise, brilliant information as always, many thanks for all . . . they are all amazing
I drive Sprites and Minis, so how can i really comment on 275 GTB's... You saved the best for last.. 1 PEV!! thanks again Tom...
Great introduction to these cars. Would love that aluminium long nose 6C, in silver/grey.
To remember all this is facts is impressive . Jostein from Norway .
Epic, thanks!
Thanks for the great video! I still have a little trouble picking a 275, so for now I'm just going to stick with my Volvo V40.
Una delle auto più belle e desiderabile di tutti i tempi 😍
Thank you
I was born in 65. When asked my birth year car it was a no brainer. The 275.
Growing up, everyone was all about the 250-series... usually the GTO. I always preferred the 275s. Just an all-'round more elegant design.
I'll have the green one, thanks!
I would be happy with any of the above👍
This guy has the same charming voice as Gideon Soames, historian
Masterclass
I say, how absolutely spiffing.
Great video, although missing other variants.
There's also an alloy bodied 275 GTC (C for Competizione) with 6 carburetors.
I would have added photos of the engine bay if there was an option to do so in the comments.
I am currently selling a 275 transaxle.

I think you missed one, the greatest of them all, the NART Spyder.

The 11 competizone versions have 38 DCOE carbs vs the regular 36mm…or it might be just the three competiozne speciale vs the 8 clienti
It would have been nice to know, the difference in performance, ie top speed and 0 - 60
Dreamy
The cars in the video are in museum condition. Does anyone drive them at all?
Take notes as there will be an exam after the video!
To say Ferrari overrated their horsepower figures, is a bit misleading. Prior to the 1970s, horsepower was calculated at the flywheel with no accessories.
Who orders a 275GTB/4 in baby blue?
It’s a caricature of the essence of Ferrari. Body is too thick from side view. The front is nice, no doubt.
California rt? That was the 1. Not too many without rust in your area 😂
Una delle Ferrari più belle della storia
