I am so happy this looks like it will work for you! I love it! I don’t have a lot of this type of video, but I try to shine the light of Jesus in all of my other videos that I do. I hope you will find more that you enjoy. Thanks so much for commenting and for subscribing! Blessings on your studies! 😁
I am loving this! It makes me slow down (a lot right now while I’m learning the icons) and really read in detail. I have a few thing I’ve been using that I will keep, but I really think this will work for me. Thanks!
I also use the NIV for study - but I use the journal edition as it gives me so much room to use. I started with looking for ways I can be better and as I read, I discover prayers I want to say (I write them in) or special words (to me sometimes I find something special that make me ask questions or mean something more to me) and also I discover answers to questions I have. All these things inspire thoughts I want to remember or tie to other thoughts and I write the 'thing' that stirred me with as much reverence as I can and even add simple pictures or shapes like hearts, crosses, rainbow, or a lamb or a hand offering a fruit to God. After several years, this book has very little space left to write. I've discovered some of my favorite books (Romans and Isaiah and Mark) and have begun a MUCH deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit and hopefully a better me. I've discovered that anger is a sin (loss of self-control). I've found out who David's mother was as he mentioned her faithfulness often in Psalms and I was curious. I've begun a list of names that God said were his. (Curiously they are more descriptor than name. He was careful to not give us an image, name, or other 'thing' to use or worship other than Him). The only name that seemed like a name was Jesus. I've made lists of what it means to be Good. I've felt so enriched as I study his word. If I claim to believe in him, surely I should actually listen to what he says to me, right? (Not taking away what others say, but His words are to me from the Holy Spirit that he gave me to understand and remember them. That's why I consider it my living bible as it speaks to me personally. I began this while telling my grands that writing over and over their homework was the way they would remember lessons. Then it dawned on me to write the Bible. I began with Matthew. In order to preserve it I had to write it in pencil to see how it would fit on the page. I reread what I copied to make sure there were no errors. Then I wrote it in pencil again on watercolor paper pages. Then I reread to ensure no errors. Then I wrote over the pencil in permanent ink. Each time rereading to make sure the words were clear and correct. Finally, I painted over each page with watercolor and decorated each page differently around the edges and over the middle. I finished Matthew then made a book for each chapter and made a copy of each book for each of my grands. I made it through first part of Mark and have stopped. I'm having too much 'inspiration' from my daily bible study to stop just now and get back to the bible. Now the journaling bible is almost completely full with little room for more on each page. So I NEED to get back to rewriting the bible. It was so meaningful for me. I need to finish it but first - garden time is here and outside is calling. I feel closer to God there than anywhere else. But I better get busy on my Bible copies as I'm 76 and the clock is ticking.
Mary, sweet, sweet Mary...You always share wisdom in your comments to my videos but this time you have outdone yourself. Now I really want to come just sit at the table with you and have a cup of coffee or tea and have a deep conversation about all you said here. You have made my day! I am so blessed by all the information you have given. I just don't even know where to start. I am letting all this sink in. I have read it several times now and just sit and pictured all that you have beautifully described! Your children, grandchildren, friends, and fellow believers are surely blessed by being a part of your sweet life. Your heart is so precious! I just love you. As always, yet somehow, even more, you have blessed me beyond measure! Thanks you so much sweet friend!
@@OpenHandFarm It is amazing that through the internet we can meet and appreciate the goodness we strive for and deeply love to share. Your video today made it even clearer that we have so much in common but mostly I appreciate all you do and say - a beautiful person with love overflowing in all you say and do. I'm thrilled to have found such a friend and would absolutely join you for coffee/tea at the drop of a hat (that;s a strange old saying). How about we take a walk together in my garden? LOL I'd be honored to have you, for sure. But, being so far away, I will just keep enjoying your videos knowing I have a lovely friend that I hold in my heart - just one video away.
Helo, nowadays I enjoy reading bible...and spending Time with God..your videos are just awesome. Thanking God for you...I was exactly looking for symbol chart .. Love from India❤

I love how you've made a symbol chart for us. When I checked each books symbols I noticed that Jeremiah is missing. Will you make a symbol chart for Jeremiah?
I am so glad you are enjoying the key words! I did not make those lists, it is a website I go to and use. I'm not sure why she doesn't have all the books. I did find a list on Pinterest with symbols.
