I’d started a prayer Bible (sisteritas style) but I think this is even better. I’m struggling to get into prayer,so any organised system like this I feel will help me. I also like that this is neat and tidy and not all covered in bits of journaling ephemera. It’s workmanlike, indeed a man would also enjoy using it. The idea isn’t to burst your Bible with inserts and stuff! Thank you
It’s interesting how there are different styles of people.
I’ve noticed so many like Faith or Cat or Sisterita … I think it’s almost like an art-kind of thing … where they like to see it everywhere. A couple days ago (or maybe it was yesterday) I watched the Sisterita video about setting it up and she was purposefully moving things so they didn’t line up. I’m thinking maybe that is part of the enjoyment for her…? Maybe it’s the thrill of the hunt and memorizing which type of tab goes with each concept.
To be honest, I couldn’t watch it because … well, I think I’m just more on the practical side of things… but I think ***to God- maybe both styles might be art and worship. Kind of like “realism” in art and modern art. I really don’t like most modern art but some of that is valued at 6 figures.
I don’t draw pictures in my Bible but I love to dig in and color code verses.
It’s interesting- I’ve been watching a channel “my White Bible” and she makes art in her Bible… I would want her Bible… it’s nice to me because her art actually lines up with what she’s reading in that part of the Bible and isn’t random. I absolutely love it. And it’s interesting because she hates the idea of a color code in her Bible. … whereas I love color coding.
Anyway, it’s interesting how different God makes all of us.
I'm in the middle. While I adore sisterita's chaotic artsy prayer bible, I also love things to be a bit more organized.
I think when I make my own prayer bible, it's going to be an ordered / organized version of her artsy chaotic bible lol.
We'll see how it turns out.

I pray as I wake up & throughout the day but a bit repetitive for my family, friends, people I've worked with gone to school with, church, neighbors former & present then our leaders in govt & religious, world leaders etc then more specific prayers for my bloodline, my children, grandchildren & great grands, then descendants....yes I have a lot of time. But it's usually the same though the Holy Spirit leads me in other areas. Then Rosarita videos popped up and I thought yes I need to specifically pray scriptures not just ones thst come to mind. I'm not artistic nor creative in thst way not thst I wouldn't like to be. I found yoir video & thought yes i need a little more order, alignment. Though my handwriting is terrible and current visual issues with healing after 2nd eye surgery with a bad report on my retina but I'm believing the report of the Lord as in the meantime am using a magnifying glass to read while dealing with treatment. I was wondering how you added the pages to your Bible.? I have a nkj which is large print still need the magnifying glass am looking to get a new Bible for prayers specifically using yoir orderly method of tabs though I really don’t quite understand how you set this up; am willing to learn. I'm one who writes all over my Bible & does a lot of underlining then highlighting but I'd like a new one to be more helpful as a war room. Thank you!!

I originally saw this on The Sisterita Club. She had is set up slightly different (when you go to each tab, a verse would be highlighted on that page with a corresponding color), but since then I keep looking for more prayer Bible videos!
I LOVE this idea, you added extra pages for more prayer, which means you can reuse that area for years!
The Sisterita Club set hers up in a compact Bible meant for a 1 year use, but I like the idea of having an ongoing prayer Bible for years, and your way adds in longer Bible use (I could use this for many years!)
One thing I do like about The Sisterita Clubs prayer Bible, is that she set it up to take it everywhere. To church, the hospital, a doctors appointment, school, literally everywhere so you can pray anytime anywhere! I'm going to combine both of y'all's prayer Bibles into mine! Thank you!

@@biblenotetakingwithkatie Yes, she has plenty of tabs - I think she buys double sided tabs and she has some larger colorful ones too. (Lots of washing tape involved with some tabs.) But yes! I enjoyed both videos, I subscribed to you and her too. God bless! 😄👍✝️
I’m here from Sisterita too! I’m excited to do this. I’ve been considering a war room or binder but the Bible seems best for me. I have a question, how did you glue the pages in?
@@erinblackburn8540 I know! I am so excited too! This is going to be very helpful dealing with life problems. Just clor code and flip to what you need! I can't wait to start mine and begin praying!
Sticking pages in is called tipping in. You can cut a page to fit but just a whisker narrower than your Bible so it doesn’t overhang. Put a very fine narrow smear of pva glue, down the inner edge, having opened your Bible gently but wide, and slot it in as far as it will go. Position carefully and close the Bible and leave a while to dry. If you put too much glue in it will seep and stick more of the adjacent pages together, so less is more. Obviously a lot of pages added will spread the spine of your book.
Tape will be very tricky to apply smoothly but there is bookbinders repair tape that librarians use.
I also like to take a sticky note and trim away most of the sticky edge, just leave something less than the margin’s width, and slot that in as a flap to write notes on. I’m careful with sticky notes because I’ve seen them rip Bible paper when you try removing them, or lifting the ink.

Another idea i have been wanting to implement in my church's prayer room is a book of testimonies. I think it would be wonderful if there was a place where people could write down the date(s) and basic details of Gods answers to prayer. The date someone got saved or when there was a specific miracle in someone's life or someone's adult child came back to the Lord. It would be an awesome place for testimonies for the church and for new people to look through and say "I know that person and God gave them their miracle 7/8/10 years ago. Surely God will answer my prayers!" When i came to the Lord i did not know that He answered prayers in real time in the modern life. It would have been a real faith builder to have such a book available to see how many things God had done for people in the church over the years. Wishing you well in your ministry.

The best way to be effective when praying for people is to follow the prayer with action. One comment that stuck with me was about the story of Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes: he didn’t conjure the food from thin air, he needed a person to commit to doing their best and giving what they had (even though it wasn’t going to be enough) and then God could take it from there. Without that small gift there would have been nothing to multiply. I think prayers for other people should always include setting your own intentions to give/try/do what you can for the person or something to do with their situation.
Definitely… we see that in James 2 💛
One thing to add though is that we can’t always help physically… we may know someone who needs a home but we ourselves also need a home. So we may not be able to help in the physical realm BUT we can always help in the spiritual realm
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. The notebooks have never been a great fit for me, I think I will SEW a case for both this and one that will also hold a thin notebook. I REALLY love this way. It works with my brain!!!!

What inspired me most about about this video is that at exactly @3:22 (minutes into the video) which is my birthdate the Word of the Lord spoke thru Katie, God's chosen vessel to show me exactly what I've been struggling with and need to start praying regularly regarding finances and financial decisions. It’s been so helpful. I do it with the Bible I use to study the Bible for other types of concepts like righteousness by faith, seal of God, Prophecies of Jesus, antichrist, satan etc. so helpful for that day we might not have google because we can’t buy or sell

I love this so much. I have a little prayer binder. Something i struggle with is making sure im not using any scripture out of context. And i also struggle with feeling like im doing it wrong. 😬 Its always on my mind while using it.

That's what I love about having the scripture within the Bible itself instead of in a separate notebook. ... just as an aside, I hear so many people on youtube give the warning about Philippians 4:13 and, to be honest, it kinda tires me out... God loves you. He will definitely help you and guide you! And the more you dig in, the better! God bless you!
@@biblenotetakingwithkatie yea it does seem like people say that a ton. My baptism verse was phil 4:13. I still love that verse-i know that any verse can be taken out of context, though. I try to read the whole chapter/book to see what’s going on and not use it wrong.

I would use a large print compact bible specifically for prayer. I am stuck of creating a list of themes that are not too large. Being overwhelmed with colors and tabs. I would do the tabs a touch outside so I can see but barely see them, similar to the way I would use my book dart. I also like that these tabs are repositionable and or removable and the text will still be visible. I would use narrow one across the width and slightly wider one along the length, depending how many color variations I can find

I am new to your channel. i want to create a prayer Bible and a travel bible I am excited. i have been searching for somethng like this knowing I need to pray the scriptures. I saw using a glue stick somewhere on youtube and can't remember where... usually I find videos where people use tape but I would think that would add bulk... It can be quite addicting adding inserts ... esp in my journal the word Bible because you can add charts and maps. I'm amazed by it ☺

I haven't used a micro tip brush pen or a world journaling Bible so I'm unable to give you advice on that. You could try using it on a back or intro page in your Bible to see if it's a problem.

I just found your channel and I am also excited to see how you do your bible! I started with the Sisterita channel and have learned some great ideas there. I think I am more like you. I need it a little more organized and not busy/chaotic feeling. My question is how to you use it? How do you remember which things you pray over daily or weekly or monthly? Do you just flip through certain sections at a time? Without having a prayer list I'm just not sure how to remember to pray for all the things I want to remember.
I see it as a tool. So far, I don’t worry about weekly or monthly. Usually I’m just talking to God but this is available when I’m in that kind of mood. I love it. Certain verses hit me so hard; it’s amazing

I prefer to put everything in the Bible but it’s amazing how many options we have… so notebooks are definitely an option.

I tend to like the “protection” tab for that just because I feel like as we grow to know God does everything for our good it lessens our anxiety… which now I’m realizing I should add to that tab as one of the Bible verses.

so, those pages that you have to stick the post-it notes on, are they just slotted in, or stuck in, and if stuck in, how do you stick them in?

How did you find all of this scriptures and which to use for which request?
What I used to make the fruits of the spirit tabs at the top of my Bible -

I used those to put in Bible verses at top of Bible (and haven't come close to finishing... really just started adding them to this Bible... there are so many!) BUT you can also do a google search so that you have verse for free.
I created a page with different things you can search for on various topics and then place in whatever category you feel it matches best. . A litttle hard to explain through this message but I discuss the topic in the next video in this playlist... let me know if you need the link.
And then what I do... is anytime I know of a need I try to trace back to the root of the issue... if someone is feeling fear, is it that they need faith? and then I go to that tab where those verses are marked. If someone is struggling with anger...do they need peace or love or joy...
If you look at the site for the child training and virtue training Bible (I bought for my kids but found it powerful in my own life as I was marking the verses), you'll see they have every single category marked around the Bible... it's an amazing system... better than when it's all into just those few categories at the top of the Bible. It's just I was looking to make it into one spot. I highly recommend (but don't work for them or anything)... just was amazed how powerful it was... God's word is so powerful!

These are thicker pages so I haven’t noticed that yet. I actually only recently heard that they bleed through normal Bible pages.

I like this system. As a side note, i dont read that verse as "free will". All is referring to both Jew and Greek. See Romans ch 8 & 9. Read about the potter and the clay. ❤
Do you believe in free will? When I was growing up we would occasionally go to a presbyterian church so I’m somewhat familiar with calvinism.
@biblenotetakingwithkatie I spent the first 15 years or so as a "free will" believer but after studying intensely for a few years I converted to pre-destination. I font call myself "Calvinist" because I follow Christ, not man, but I definitely see pre-destination in creation and in scripture. I currently attend a church that is free will though because the reformed churches in my area are too judgmental for me, but I agree with some of their doctrines.
So then you believe God caused or wanted the fall of satan and then the human race… and He creates some people for destruction?

I use a glue stick and run it up along the edge trying not to get too much of the side of the page so it’s just sticking to binding.

I'm new... overwhelmed.. struggling
It should not be overwhelming or a struggle 💛.
I’ve noticed all the videos on my TH-cam feed seem to be setting up a prayer Bible. It’s all everyone seems to be talking about… so maybe you’re starting to think: “to be a good Christian I MUST create a prayer Bible”
I just see mine as a tool - like a google search without the internet… So if I’m needing scripture on a certain topic I can find it.
But it is definitely not something you should feel you have to do or feel any type of pressure about 💛
How are you feeling? You were in my thoughts this morning so I went searching for your message. Did you decide on whether to create something?

@biblenotetakingwithkatie sometimes I feel like I'm to ashamed to talk to God, so I don't. But in my mind I know God WANTS us to come to him.
@@rachelanderson4509 oh I misunderstood… I thought you meant you were overwhelmed with setting up a prayer Bible. I know there are specific Bible verses that speak to this issue that say things like “you can come to me no matter what because I love you”. And then He changes us from the inside out.

What gave you this idea
I had created a prayer notebook like so many other people. And I had a page for prayer requests with a Bible verse at the top of each page that went with each type of prayer request.
And then I saw a video by coffee and Bible time of their prayer notebook where they used sticky notes and that made me realize I could just glue the pages into my Bible instead because I could use sticky notes instead of writing directly on the pages.
I love this! Been wanting to do something like this and your process is so organized. I also like the idea of a separate study Bible on things like the state of the dead, Sabbath, Jesus second coming, mark of the beast, etc. I’ll be watching your other videos. I also like your suggestion of Crayola twistables. Cheaper than gel highlighters probably. Thank you!
