interesting fact, Geoff describes himself not as a bass singer, but a baratone who can sing bass notes
He also says his higher register doesn't sound that good but we all know that's a lie, honestly I'm convinced he's not a bass or a baritone, he's a freaking piano

Geoff seriously goes from D5 down to D1 (4 Octaves)...like what? From a super-high head-mixed note (especially for a Bass) down to the last D on the keyboard with the help of the Subharmonic technique. And i'm almost sure that Geoff can actually pull that off on a live setting, not just in the studio.
Let me correct you. He did go down just 3 octaves. He went from D5 to D2. :)

@@thatvectooor it's D1 sub so there is a D2 sound but the lowest note is indeed a D1
It's not the most obvious but after Geoff hits the high note (it's a D5 btw, wtf!!!) he slides down to D2 and then sings a subharmonic D1. He's confirmed it in one of the comments on his recently uploaded video that you reacted to, Blackbird. :)

If I'm not wrong that D5 was chested which makes it that much more impressive

ThatGeorgiaBassGuy hard to tell because of all the post Voiceplay puts on their recordings, but that's definitely mix or a nice head voice. In my experience, also being a low baritone, mixing has a much smoother and blunter tone, along with being confined to a fairly small range. Head voice, on the other hand, can 'scream' like Geoff did on that high note for a big range, at least for me it sounds pretty good up to an F5. Nice vocal control by Geoff especially with that slide down into the sub. Subs are really hard after singing at the top of your register.

Rachel Potter worked for Disney World as Ariel. In the BTS she says she sang 'Part of Your World' 7 times a day, 5 days a week, for 5 years. She sang that song over 9,000 times.

They're all amazing and I love Rachel every time she is on. She sounds just like a Disney princess with some OOMPH in her voice.
You NEED to check out Geoff's personal TH-cam channel. He reads Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell Tale Heart" and he also reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
You can never go wrong with some VoicePlay! And Rachel's voice is absolutely beautiful, I love hearing her song. Am I mistaken or hasn't she also done some things with Voctave as well? I could have sworn I'd seen something of theirs featuring her. If you haven't already seen it, as a teenager in the 90s and early 2000s I love VoicePlay's Boy Band medley of course, you should give it a listen!

...and like Ursula he uses it, to get the voices from other people and then uses them himself. XD
Or he is just a very talented, naturally low voice bariton, which then did a lot of training and exercise over the years to learn different techs to do this amazing stuff.
BTW: you can practice higher pitches to an extended amount, while the low ones are not that easy to come by. So with a naturally lower voice and enough training you can get way more range, than a naturally high voice.
I wish they could get Rachel as a permanent member, she totally fits in with them!
