Well at least you've had drying weather. Sucks to be sick when you have all that going on. I had to stop mid video and run out to film D-8 pushing. Can't let dozer content pass me by. There are a few old dairy barns around here around here that have had the bottom torn out and been lowered for storage.
@@e.a.bfarms Takala's about 20 miles west of me are milking around 450 head and I know there's someone north of Virginia but I don't know how many they have.
Had a bearing fire on my NH 411 discbine in the field in 2012. Fixed and traded it immediately on the NH 7330. Much more modern machine. One failure will be followed by more…that’s my logic. You guys seem to be burning the candle at both ends…wearing yourselves out. Retirement is a long way away…but hope is ahead with winter…😊
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn It will be 16+ hr days until the snow flies, farmers don't retire just slow down a little hahaha. That discbine is a 2019 and has had its fair share of problems.
A whole lot going on there over a lot of days good thing you both are young. I don’t know if I could keep up that pace. Are the John Deere chains American made new Holland are made in China so I always go by either Japanese or American diamond chain. Did you keep your old Baler? You’ve mentioned some reasoning why everything is round bailed versus large squared be interesting for you to do a video on that talking about local markets reason for Round Bales versus Giants squares, etc. I know moving the hay quick enough would be a big issue everything spread out across the countryside, I hate hauling hay. It takes so long..
@@michiganhay7844 Actualy Deere chains are not very consistent, new balers are typically always American diamond. But when you go buy replacements sometimes it's China and some time USA. . . No fun being sick but at least you got the hay baled despite some mechanical issues.

At least the weather has been good for making hay. Are there any toxicity issues with teff right after a freeze or does it just dry down quick?
@@ohrmundtsimmentals No toxicity or nitrate issues, just dies and turns to straw really fast!
