I definitely take advantage of the daily pill boxes and have since I began treatment for my bipolar 2 disorder. I make up 2 weeks worth at a time and it leaves less room for error in taking them this way (I'm on a cocktail of psych meds). Very smart of you to take the initiative
be very careful with probiotics. Dr. Palmer has talked about 2 patients he's aware of who were very stable on ketogenic diet, started taking a probiotic, and psychotic symptoms came roaring back. Goes to show the strong gut-brain connection and the microbiome being a pivotal player in that. There have also been studies in seizure models of mice showing that if they have one mouse group with a ketogenic diet, and then another that is not - if they put the microbiome of the keto mouse into the normal mouse, they gain seizure control even without the diet. As per your supplements - methlyfolate could be incredibly important - look at Carrie Brown's mental health story, she was mentally ill with bipolar and methylfolate was pretty much all she needed to get her brain back. I highly recommend the omegaquant omega3 test which shows your blood% of omega3. If it's under 8% you should be supplementing. The Japanese society averages around 8% omega3 - Americans under 4%. Some supplements I'm very curious about Urolithin A - Derived from pomegranate juice it is useful for mitochondria Methlyne Blue - Very strange supplement but some evidence it aids mitochondria coq10 - very high in heart muscle in beef and lamb, known to aid mitochondria alpha lipoic acid - found in beef and beets PQQ - found in fermented foods Overall I would prefer to find these things in food but there is some interesting research going on
I had to stop an OTC probiotic recently because my racing thoughts and anxiety were outer limits for weeks! I have a 2+ year history toggling meds, which I'm now off, with various probiotics while working with both a nutritionist and psychiatrist. I personally decided to get back on the probiotic while tapering the meds, and so I thought perhaps it was med withdrawal. Nope! It was the probiotic. Within days I went back to normal, and haven't slid into those weird thought patterns since. I'm sticking with one spoonful of greek yogurt a day instead, which feels amazing.
Methylene blue is the precursor to typical antipsychotics, chlorpromazine was derived directly from it. I don't think it's likely to be any better. Another Victorian dye, summer blue is the precursor of most antidepressants.
Why all of the negative and hurtful comments? I was skeptical of the diet at first, then learned there is proven scientific evidence that the Medical Keto Diet can put those of us with mental illness in remission. Not all, but many lives are changed for the better.
While I haven't made any major changes, I've increased my protein intake, fluid consumption, and use of essential oils through balms and inhalation for anxiety. I also regularly drink cocoa and eat dark chocolate, and I exercise regularly. I've seen drastic and massive improvements in how I feel, my cognition, self-confidence, and ability to be more clear-minded, and I feel less depressed. Each person has their own preferences, but I particularly feel satiated and full when I eat omega-3s from salmon fish or consume fish oil. These lifestyle changes and product consumption help me manage myself effectively and what works for you may not work me and what works for both of us, may not work for others, but fundamentals and essentials are important but again, an individual has their own personal preferences, I'm glad you put up this video, happy to see you again.
I take caffeinated pre work powder to combat all the negative effects of the medication, especially the low energy I have. I’ve been taking salts, potassium & magnesium for 2 years now, doing OMAD/ intermittent fasting…… I’ve lost a lot of the weight the medication had me put on, as of recently I’m getting more confident to leave my house and go for walks & runs…. Not easy for me, with everything I’ve been thru and my mindset but I take it day by day, things are looking good! Thank you for sharing this video for others to see, hopefully this reaches someone who needs to hear this. Well informed and articulated well.
Hi Lauren. I've been following you for a while and I just experienced something that I thought would be a great show! I went to Amen Clinics and had a SPECT scan on my brain. It's founded by Dr Daniel Amen, a psychiatrist. He does go on podcasts like yours. He also invites people who are public and have mental illness to be on his youtube channel. I think a show on SPECT scans would be helpful to a lot of people! I won't share links so my comment posts, but I just read this just now, "If you’re struggling with mental health issues or memory loss that isn’t responding to standard treatments, it’s time to consider brain imaging. Based on costs, availability in the psychiatric clinical setting, reliability, comfort, convenience, and research, brain SPECT imaging checks the most boxes." It's fascinating and a new development in psychiatry. Dr Amen says often, "Psychiatry remains the only medical specialty that rarely looks at the organ it treats-the brain." Sorry this is so long and sounds like a commercial but one more quote of interest, "n 2021, the Canadian Association of Nuclear Medicine (CANM) unanimously adopted new procedure guidelines for SPECT imaging for psychiatry and neurology. CANM endorsed brain SPECT imaging for the evaluation of several common conditions that impact millions of individuals, such as: Neuropsychiatric disorders: ADHD, bipolar disorder, clinical depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)" Soo... if you are interested he did a TED Talk and lots of other talks so you can search him out here on youtube. All the best wishes as always, Mary Michelle
This is very helpful and affirming. Our daughter with the same diagnosis is on the same supplements but adding the electrolytes is helpful because we werent doing it! Thank you!
What are you using for glycine? I see that the Organika brand is Canada only and isn't on Amazon either and I am in the US. The video mentions that it is in a collagen peptide formula, which I believe means that the "free form" type which I found isn't the right one.

Taking vitamin D3 with K2 is WAY more effective than D by itself. A student of mine with chronically low D blood levels told me this tip was what made the difference (after years of her doctors not clarifying it). She was baffled as to why they had not known or stressed it, when she was desperate to improve her health (long term issues). She was super grateful to learn this and see how quickly it helped. For what it is worth...
Schizo-affective myself here. Her research has encouraged me to look into the keto diet. Tbh im not even as strict as others with it, nor do i check ketones but i feel much better with my new regime than solely on the antipsys & carb-filled, gluten-filled diet. I rarely get positive symptoms anymore, & for me that is a huge relief. I also take a daily multivitamin as well as L-Glutamine. Our systems are all unique & through trial and error u can find out what combination works best for u. Also proper rest & excercise should be a given.
Have you looked into TAURINE? My diagnosis is also schizoaffective bipolar type, and I was taking a small dose of Thorazine as needed for breakthrough hypomania and anxiety (in addition to my daily AP). But since taking taurine for several weeks now, I no longer need Thorazine and feel very stable. Now I can consume caffeine and don't feel anxious or hypomanic. Lack of sleep also induced hypomania, but I no longer experience that anymore on taurine. Tried many supplements over the years, but taurine is the king of natural mood stabilisers, IMO.
Also been wondering, what's your anxiety like on keto? What was it like before? Are there any mental health issues you feel could be better on keto so far? Or do you feel ithe diet has been really sufficient in alleviating all that?
Thanks so much Lauren for your work. I had tried Keto before, and it kind of worked I think but I still was quite acutely psychotic back then. I've now been on keto for about two days and I definitely feel a little better.
We tried all the supplements. The best one by a long shot was lithium orotate. My wife and I thought she was a lithium non-responder, but she had originally been prescribed it during a melancholia that had progressed to a catatonic stupor. By chance the stupor was lifted by benzos, and later on during a hypomanic episode she started taking lithium orotate and it was the first time prior to keto that anything had a real effect on the disease. Anything with antidepressant properties such as ashwaganda seemed to just increase rapid cycling and cause agitation.
Glad it works for her! I get rashes from lithium in any form but it's known to work very well for some. I take a low dose of an antidepressant to help the depression side and a high dose of an antipsychotic to keep me "down" but without those two I was miserable. (I'm bipolar type 2 with psychotic features) It's a balancing act and along with my mood stabilizers, I've been able to lead a pretty normal life after years of trying different types of meds. I'm on year 9 since my diagnosis and no hypomania in over 7 years. Disclaimer- I'm just a patient and not educated enough to give any advice- just sharing my personal experience in hopes people realize that living with this disorder is manageable for some with medication. Diet and supplements never worked for me but I'll never knock someone's journey to get better with using a different route than I do. Everyone is different and there are so many things out there! Thank you for sharing.
@@evilm3274 That combination has become very popular in the United states. I think the evidence is against the practice, antidepressants are destabilizing and antipsychotics generally make the problem worse in the long term. The studies that lead to their approval involve a process called "enrichment" this is where the drug company runs elimination trials to weed out all the people who don't respond or get worse. When they finally have enough people left who can tolerate the drug they publish those results and leave the previous trials unpublished. They then show the data from the final trial to FDA. Other things they do is run the trials in developing nations known for corruption and bribery, pay high profile doctors to put their names on papers they never wrote, code suicides as benign trial dropouts and the list goes on. The reason I trust lithium is that it is unpatentable, a threat to their profits and has still out done everything else in RCTs. Listen, the truth is out there and it's not on the internet, it's in history books. Go and read the work of doctors from before the pharmaceutical industry took over. Read about who discovered these drugs, where they came from, what nurses and doctors observed when they were first invented. The amount of information offline is staggering. Don't be sure if anything until you know the full history of these drugs. There are whole classes of medications that most people have never even heard of. You might think you tried hundreds of medications but most medications are just slight tweaks to get a new patent. Both antidepressants and antipsychotics come from blue dyes that were first used to treat malaria, then used as antihistamines, the antihypertensives, then tranquillisers and then finally rebranded with the very dubious titles of "antidepressant" and "antipsychotic". I'm not saying they don't work, you've clearly seen a benefit but there is just so much more to their story and many reasons to be careful using them long term.
I have found certain supplements helpful with medication side effects, and I see they work for Medical Keto side effects as well, thank you Lauren I think this is why my Keto diet attempt did not work a couple of years ago when I tried! It is still a big lifestyle change, but in the future I would try it again thanks to your positive experience!
Great explanation! Does it mean that after adjusting to keto diet and stopping medication, many months after, we can stop taking some supplements such as multivitamin? Thanks
Hi again Lauren. Just wanted to add for the record - I tried doing the keto diet WITHOUT these supplements, and got intolerable strange symptoms at night - like electricity all over my body. Had to stop after 1 week. I'm now 12 days into trying again WITH these supplements, and I have no strange symptoms.
I started following a few weeks ago and in my opinion this is more of a keto diet blog than it is a mental health one. I understand there are benefits to keto. Every diet out there boasts one benefit or another. But in my opinion and in my personal experience most of the benefit one would see in regard to serious mental health struggles from a keto diet is the focus it takes to eat keto and remain in ketosis would distract and focus your mental state rather than you benefiting from any chemical changes in the brain. You also believe it works therefore it does to some degree. Of coarse I can’t know for sure. The power of belief is the most powerful drug.
Also wanted to ask about the cost of your supplements as part of the diet. Is it included in your video about cost? Have you just been adding supplements as you go or did you just start when you started keto? I ran out of my supplements and need to buy more soon. But first, I'll ask my psychiatrist which ones since I'm on Invega.
Thank you for sharing with us Lauren! You are a true pioneer and introduced me to this great therapy and the amazing people.. including MetabolicMind Dr.Palmer and Dr.Ede. I do not have bipolar or schizophrenia however I have a high level of anxiety and I really appreciate you and your content! Thank you and have a Blessed Day 🙏
Electrolytes are so important and underrated. I have the same potassium and mag on my nightstand. If it starts hurting your stomache you can do foot soaks for a couple minutes when you need it instead. Epsom salts for mag, nosalt powder for potassium. Note the can prev gentle is cut with mag oxide while the ultra gentle is just bisglycinate so that might be easier on digestion as well.
Two more things to note. Boron is magnesium sparing. I take a lot less magnesium after taking boron only a few times. As well high magnesium intake can also cause you to need more potassium. So if you start needing more that can be a factor. Zinc, b12 and other things also create potassium need. Welcome to the electrolyte treadmill. Part of the healing process for so many conditions.
Wonderful thank you. I have taken down all your suggestions and will see if I can find dietitian help here in Sydney Australia. We have a therapy team for my son. He would benefit greatly from a KETO mental health diet. He is skinny and on many high doses of antipsychotics. I think this will build up his basic health... hoping slowly to get him to walk outside, to be able to interact with the things he loves. Like reading, music and his friends. Even TV mobile or computer, which he has to avoid. I have ordered my first batch of three Sibio sensors. I have been watching you through your journey. You have helped me be a better 'carer' and mum to my son. Most of all, you have given me H O P E ❤ Thankyou.
I think some of these people are mistaking these videos as selling a diet as an alternative to professional medical care for treating psychological disorder. You may want to clarify that when treating illnesses like schizophrenia that professional medical care is necessary.
@visionvixxen I don’t think that’s fair. She’s pretty consistent in saying exactly what OP suggests, and she’s been very clear about her motives and working with a whole team of medical professionals. I understand the cynicism, I’m tired of health channels hocking supplements too, but I think Lauren’s an exception.
Have you tried Polish smalec as a part of keto diet? If you cook it right it's unmatched in its taste. You could try it for meals that needs lot of fat.
Have you added any of those supplements at the end you would consider for the future? Like Sarcosine? Gingko Biloba? Are you able to say how helpful the confounding variables you have used are such as NAC/glycine and ashwagandha?
Ashwagandha is shit. Had it, got pain on my liver. Was a reputable brain. I take most other stuff you mentioned. Can highly recommend taking supplements when having mental health problems, even without keto. Have you though of getting Methyl folate and methylcobalamin? I take K2 aswell. K2, magnesium, selenium and above mentioned methyl vitamines made most of my headache disappear. Have others aswell. I take a lot.
For folks on an extended health plans (outside of provincial health plans) who have drug coverages, do you see that someday those same health plans could cover the costs of the keto diet and/or supplementation?
I also tried Ginkgo Biloba, but it did make me a little anxious. From what I learned, it increases dopamine levels, which might not be optimal on schizophrenia.
Have you had issues with weight gain with psych meds? KETO diet sounds good but all these additional supplements needed makes me question weather this is a good idea.
The supplements are meant to optimize your health while on this diet, or otherwise as well. As Nicole said in this video, it's very hard to get enough of all the nutrients you need from ANY diet, and supplementation can always be helpful.
Thank you Lauren for being so transparent with your journey ❤ I have no doubt that you are helping so many people in so many ways! ❤ I have an off topic question if it is okay.. I noticed that you are wearing a whoop wearable device, and I am considering getting one because I want to heal and care for my metabolic health... I have heard that tracking your HRV is important for this. Would you recommend the whoop watch and membership? How do you feel about it's accuracy? Thank you again for all that you do. And for anytl information you can give on this subject. Lindsay Haskins
Thank you, once again, for your great video 😊. I also have schizoaffective disorder, and I notice that when I take supplements, it seems to increase my psychotic symptoms. I’m currently just taking vitamin D3 and omega-3 fish oil. I started to have an uptick in psychotic symptoms, but this time I just pushed through it, and I’m doing better with it after about one month. Have you experienced this at all? Or is anyone reading this comment experiencing this? Thank you in advance for your response 😊
I notice that you are taking Potassium Citrate. Any thoughts on taking Potassium Citrate vs Potassium Chloride? I know that Potassium Citrate can help reduce the risk of kidney stones which are a risk on the Keto diet. But, the Keto electrolyte supplement I use has Potassium Chloride?
My doctor told me about omega 3 and how good it is for the brain. Especially with schizoaffective disorder. However, he told me to stay away from gingko biloba. I am not sure why. I'll ask him about lion's mane and ashwaganda.
Hear me out please. I am only bringing this up because she has talked about it in her older vids. Because you have a history of an eating disorder could you be falling back into that realm?
The most important realm she is falling back into is wanting to get off all her meds. Old videos and comments do point to some sort of ED which isn’t uncommon with those who suffer from mental illnesses since ED is a mental illness, too. She doesn’t address this as a problem this time around but looking back a few years or even a year ago there is a noticeable difference in her face and arms. She is looking quite thin. But to answer your question she has stated it’s not a worry.

Really cool supplement/pill container! I've been struggling to manage without something like that. And I love what you shared in the video. I am on similar supplements for keto but the last ones you shared that could be confounding variables are really interesting and I'm curious to explore. Are you tapering off your medicine to see how low you can go/get off completely as the end goal? It's all so encouraging.
She said in one of her other videos that she did not intend to even consider tapering her medication until 6 months in. Her stated goal is to improve functioning & stability in general, and hence quality of life. While being able to go completely off of antipsychotic medication would be a wonderful outcome, that is not the focus or purpose of this experiment. However, using medical keto led to something called overpotentiation (sometimes just called "drug potentiation", though not quite the same thing). Meaning, the concentration/strength of her antipsychotic medication(s) was made too strong, as if she had suddenly increased her dose by a major amount, even though the amount she was taking hadn't actually changed. For that reason, she saw her psychiatrist and was given the "go-ahead" and specific directions for tapering medication and monitoring symptoms (she has also been closely monitored by her entire care team for this entire time anyway, including her psychiatrist), as the negative effects of doing nothing to address the overpotentiation outweighed the risk. (in terms of both quality of life and medical complications) Overpotentiation is not exclusive to medical keto at all; it is a well known hazard that doctors have to consider when a person is taking multiple medications (or even supplements), because drug interactions can cause it. I hope this is helpful/clarifying to you! (I am not a doctor, and I am just relaying what I have understood from closely following Lauren's medical metabolic interventions project, with the addition of some quick Google searches to make sure I am using the definitions of words correctly.)
Thank you for all that information! I've been following along as well and remember what she said about waiting 6 months to taper; however, in this video she said that she is tapering her medication, so going lower I assume and I thought recently she said she was on her lowest dose to manage her symptoms of 60mg instead of maybe 100 but maybe she is tapering again. @@loricat5606

I take antidepressants alongside with eftil and actawel, 12 pils dayly, my concern is, my very fatty liver.. Sorry for my poor English, maybe I mystype something, cose I have tremor in my arms..
Jesus dude, what a condescending tone. Special diets for medical reasons often require supplements, no one here is claiming the diet is somehow perfect.
So just a change of pills?🤔🤔tbh I find psyche meds more convenient for me. Having to take all those supplements and pay constant attention to my meals would tire me out😢the meds are working well for me and in my country(somewhere in Africa), it's hard to find a nutrionist 😢
I mean, swapping out psych meds for handfuls of supplements and electrolytes because the diet so profoundly messes up the way your body works. That makes sense.😂
It's not for everyone. Best thing my wife and I have ever done for out health though. We'll be eating low carb for the rest of our live I suspect just like our forefathers/foremothers did.
The Carnivore diet has been shown to help with mental issues as well… for those out there that would be more on board with eliminating all the plants … some have some amazing results with being able to Feel more mentally stable and some even get off all the medications…. You don’t have to do it forever even 30 days can give you a glimpse into what may help you feel better … side note I’m not on any psych meds and I do not have bipolar/ schizophrenia disorder…I do experience anxiety and am trying to keep it away as much as possible.
Check medical medium's mental health protocols. He also shares a lot of criticism about keto diet.. too much fat can not be good for the overburdened livers we all have..
@@samarma144that's odd, everyone I know that has gone on a whole food keto diet has improved their "overburdened" liver. My liver for example was overburdened but since starting eating ketogenic diet almost 5 years ago, it's just fine. Kidney function is also much better. Blood pressure has dropped significantly so I am assuming my heart also doesn't have to work as hard anymore. The anti-keto folks confuse me, when its quite obvious we must have been in a state of ketosis for the vast majority of our evolution over millions of years. Many carbs were simply not available for the majority of the year where humans evolved. I question the intelligence of anyone that is anti-keto.
don't believe she has schizoaffective. My thoughts: She seems like the type who probably struggled with some mental health symptoms earlier in her life at some point and never looked back.
You sound like one of those doctors that tells a patient who was healed of their cancer that the cancer must have been a mis-diagnosis and that there never was any cancer in the first place. Thatr happens all the time in the world of oncology.
she makes her husband do everything she does. Like same diet and go on runs with her in negative degree weather. He says he supports her but poor guy looks miserable.
Honestly don't know how you live with yourself anymore it's almost like you use this as a giant experiment but You've changed and I call bullshit to be honest. Very sad. Fucked up of you but irregardless bullshit. I believed you and now I feel foolish and let down. When you follow someone and connect for so long you feel entitled to be able to trust them. You should post an apology. Was it the money that changed you?
I wouldn’t say your nutrition is great if you’re having to take all those supplements. If you were not able to take these supplements how effective would your ketogenic diet be?

Also be VERY careful taking Probiotics if you are being treated for high blood pressure
Dr. Amen is amazing! Definitely worth looking into!
Thank you for the supplements info, Lauren. I’m so so happy for you that this has helped you. It’s amazing. I’d love someone in my life to get the support & treatment you’ve had. Be grateful for any guidance for finding the right team. Thank you.
you may also want to look into the benefits of Thiamin (B1) on mental health. also, i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this information. you may potentially save lives. i lost my only son to schizophrenia and wish i had learned all of this sooner so that i could have helped him. God Bless you and your beautiful family.
I'm so sorry for your loss ❤
Good for you for being so proactive with your health!❤
You look way more healthy and way more present and aware than any previous video I have seen the past couple of years. So so happy for you.
You're doing great! I'm so happy for you!!! I intend to buy the pill case after I move this week!!! Thanks for the heads up!
Also been wondering, what's your anxiety like on keto? What was it like before? Are there any mental health issues you feel could be better on keto so far? Or do you feel ithe diet has been really sufficient in alleviating all that?
So grateful for your increased wellbeing and all the information you are sharing. Many thanks from 🇦🇺🙏
Thanks so much Lauren for your work. I had tried Keto before, and it kind of worked I think but I still was quite acutely psychotic back then. I've now been on keto for about two days and I definitely feel a little better.
You forgot to mention how much your supps cost. Thanks for sharing which ones you’re taking though. It was another interesting video!
Right too bad medical insurance doesn’t pay for all this
❤good for you, sweet girl!❤ you're awesome and inspirational for all of us❤
We tried all the supplements.
You are a pioneer and brave person. May you be blessed on your journey.
Catching up on old videos while downing my magnesium drank ☺️
Thank you and have a Blessed Day 🙏
Hello, nice to see you again.
You might need vit k to balance out the vit d. If your sleep goes off think about vit k.
Bisglycinate forms give you some glycine as well which is helpful.
And vit d can increase your need for magnesium. Which is fine but something to watch out for. Mag bisglycinate is good for this.
Most of all, you have given me H O P E ❤
Thankyou.
Is there a list of these supplements anywhere here? Can't find one. Thank you again for this information! 🙂
Niacin!! It’s a miracle. I do a massive massive dose but now I’m on a minimal dose of meds because of it.
I think some of these people are mistaking these videos as selling a diet as an alternative to professional medical care for treating psychological disorder. You may want to clarify that when treating illnesses like schizophrenia that professional medical care is necessary.
It will be that soon… larger audience as a health and wellness channel and soon it’ll be about “slaying” and “what I eat in a day.” 😂
No man or woman should ever take anti psychotics.
Do you think supplementing your diet instead of a balanced diet is a good idea
I also tried Ginkgo Biloba, but it did make me a little anxious. From what I learned, it increases dopamine levels, which might not be optimal on schizophrenia.
Have you had issues with weight gain with psych meds? KETO diet sounds good but all these additional supplements needed makes me question weather this is a good idea.
The supplements are meant to optimize your health while on this diet, or otherwise as well. As Nicole said in this video, it's very hard to get enough of all the nutrients you need from ANY diet, and supplementation can always be helpful.
Thank you Lauren for being so transparent with your journey ❤
I have no doubt that you are helping so many people in so many ways! ❤
I have an off topic question if it is okay..

An extra comment to help boost the TH-cam algorithm!
BABY, YOU LOOK HAPPIER! 😀🥰
Lions mane is really interesting I would say. Do take a good extract 30% Polysaccharide or 5% Beta Glucan 1gram +
Probiotics=good gut health = good healthy body.
Try kimchi, anything pickled
I notice that you are taking Potassium Citrate. Any thoughts on taking Potassium Citrate vs Potassium Chloride? I know that Potassium Citrate can help reduce the risk of kidney stones which are a risk on the Keto diet. But, the Keto electrolyte supplement I use has Potassium Chloride?
In terms of electrolytes, do you recommend those brands for any specific reason?
My doctor told me about omega 3 and how good it is for the brain. Especially with schizoaffective disorder. However, he told me to stay away from gingko biloba. I am not sure why. I'll ask him about lion's mane and ashwaganda.
Thanks!
Thank u
Hear me out please. I am only bringing this up because she has talked about it in her older vids. Because you have a history of an eating disorder could you be falling back into that realm?
The most important realm she is falling back into is wanting to get off all her meds. Old videos and comments do point to some sort of ED which isn’t uncommon with those who suffer from mental illnesses since ED is a mental illness, too. She doesn’t address this as a problem this time around but looking back a few years or even a year ago there is a noticeable difference in her face and arms. She is looking quite thin. But to answer your question she has stated it’s not a worry.
@@Doodleyandmee thanks I’ll keep watching!
This makes living with schizoaffective disorder feel way more unmanageable…

Good stack. Regarding Ashwaganda, I'm minimizing any 'herbs' and spices because they often come from polluted places

(in terms of both quality of life and medical complications)
Overpotentiation is not exclusive to medical keto at all; it is a well known hazard that doctors have to consider when a person is taking multiple medications (or even supplements), because drug interactions can cause it.
Lauren are you ok ? I feel she is off or is it just me? Is she in psychosis not judging but she keeps talking about keto I liked her older videos.
Not niacin in high doses? Why not? Abram Hofer spoke about it years ago. Bless u.
Do you think this supplements alongside with keto diet can be effective with very resistant depression, general anxiety? I take antidepressants alongside with eftil and actawel, 12 pils dayly, my concern is, my very fatty liver.. Sorry for my poor English, maybe I mystype something, cose I have tremor in my arms..
You should look into the “GAPS” & “No Plants GAPS” to take your healing to another level. Dr Natasha Campbell McBride
You shouldn’t have to supplement if your so perfect, just adjust the diet accordingly
Jesus dude, what a condescending tone. Special diets for medical reasons often require supplements, no one here is claiming the diet is somehow perfect.
She is already symptom free. Why even leave a nasty comment. She is saving lives. You are really contributing to humanity by being stupid and snarky.
You must have angered Big Pharma judging by the hate
Why so many supplements if your extensive diet is going so well?
Because she has to avoid carbs to go into ketosis to heal. She is on kind of an elimination diet too.
How do you find a doctor who is willing to work keto with you?
So just a change of pills?🤔🤔tbh I find psyche meds more convenient for me. Having to take all those supplements and pay constant attention to my meals would tire me out😢the meds are working well for me and in my country(somewhere in Africa), it's hard to find a nutrionist 😢
Great
Her theory also doesn't make room for schizoaffective depressive type or MDD.
What’s with the rapid blinking??
I mean, swapping out psych meds for handfuls of supplements and electrolytes because the diet so profoundly messes up the way your body works. That makes sense.😂
Thanks!
You should add more salt to the food to prevent that
When she talks about actually, well, living with schizophrenia and not all of her theories I actually do enjoy the content.

Sorry I don't wrap my head around keto
It's not for everyone. Best thing my wife and I have ever done for out health though. We'll be eating low carb for the rest of our live I suspect just like our forefathers/foremothers did.
Yes. Sisteeist
The Carnivore diet has been shown to help with mental issues as well… for those out there that would be more on board with eliminating all the plants … some have some amazing results with being able to
Feel more mentally stable and some even get off all the medications…. You don’t have to do it forever even 30 days can give you a glimpse into what may help you feel better … side note I’m not on any psych meds and I do not have bipolar/ schizophrenia disorder…I do experience anxiety and am trying to keep it away as much as possible.

More power to you but I don't believe in the keto diet or supplements.
You don’t even know her…
Please be careful with Ashwaganda
She’s way too glossy.
she makes her husband do everything she does. Like same diet and go on runs with her in negative degree weather. He says he supports her but poor guy looks miserable.
I'm guessing you don't have a mate that supports you. I hope that changes for you.
They actually made a video about this. He’s doing the diet for himself too
Honestly don't know how you live with yourself anymore it's almost like you use this as a giant experiment but You've changed and I call bullshit to be honest.
Exactly what I was thinking. Also a diet low in fruits & veg just doesn’t seem right
I didn't care for her keto coach stating that she starts patients with the "assumption" of vitamin deficiencies. Guess work versus blood work?
