Heh it would be nice but just this one took more than 30 hours, the hassle of going through multiple sample CDs to find exactly the samples Bergeaud used for the soundtrack and then reverse engineering every synth he used is a bit too much. But I have a plan, right now I'm trying to make some new original music in the style of the first game's soundtrack! Please look forward to that :)
That baseline that starts at 1:46 is so sick, I had to listen to the original to hear if it was even there, and it's barely audible in the original mix. Thank you for making it louder so I can appreciate it 😂
This is the love and care the remake needed so desperately, in terms of story, of course, but in terms of music too. Such a shame that, after its release, Insomniac found ToD to be the right direction for the series.
Solid remake. 10/10 A little too much high end, not enough low-mid but its common practice for orchestrations today to have a lot of high end. It can just be really tricky to merge the low end of the "Electronica" stuff with the high end of the "Acoustic Orchestration." Either way a solid remake like I said, you've improved immensely since the last R&C track you did. Back in the day music could overstate the SFX of a game these days everything for some reason has to be merged and the music for the most part takes a cinematic backseat.
Thank you! I ended up intentionally boosting the high end a bit, mostly due to personal preference (imho the old balancing is a bit dated). And yeah I really hate the direction of the music for the newer R&C games, that's basically my whole motivation for learning how to make music in this style. My plan, once I'm done with remaking tracks and creating an original one that would fit the soundtrack, is to take what I've learned and use it to score some gameplay videos of Rift Apart, with a sort of modernized version of the original R&C sound. And maybe someday someone at Insomniac will see my videos and realize that it's time to give their franchise's music its soul back. A man can dream...
@@nicknuwe you're probably super experinced already and I'm just a noob saying this. But test your track out on different speakers and earphones, even crappy ones to see how it sounds. It should be mastered around studio quality equipment ofc, but sometimes there can be harsh frequency that come through for mid to low end equipment that most of your listeners will catch even if you didn't on your setup.
God please do one more! Just one more! Do Aridia, Metropolis or Blackwater City! I beg of you. I could die happy just hearing one of those remade like this.
@@nicknuwe at times it genuinely sound pretty indistinguishable from the original. At 1:13 it sounds pretty close but ESPECIALLY 1:46 it's bloody close. Like if you hadn't told me it's different I wouldn't notice at all.
Oh actually, those might be easy enough since I found all of the samples for them, and they are many. I'm going to make an original R&C style track first, and then I'll try making those!
I just started to do my own version of this same track for some practice, and out of curiousity came to TH-cam to see if anyone else had attempted the same thing. Honestly shocked at how close you've managed to get here. I'd love to know where you got those samples from 😎 Awesome work
@@alexvarlotta9586 aw I'm happy something I made could manage that, it means a lot to me. :) Regarding Eudora, it's a bit too difficult cause I don't have the samples for my favorite sounds from either track. I could try to approximate them but in the end I think the only way to get the feel just right and not make it cheap is to locate the source, and it seems impossible right now. So maybe the next R&C tracks will be more originals? We'll see
@@nicknuwe hey its cool im looking forward to more. Theres a rumor that the 2016 reboot is coming to PC and if its true itd be cool to use your remasters as a mod
Well I'm not currently planning on making more since they're quite tedious to make, but I have made and am still making original tracks in the style of the first game (and trilogy in general)
As much I like the music from this location, so much I don't like this location. I probably never liked the level design or something, and also these levels for Clank, but I liked the music. Thanks for your remake.
Hi,is there any plan to do this for the title screen theme of going mobile? I can send you the file straight from the game for better quality trough discord

It's definitely one of my favorite aspects of this track, so yeah I had to make it stand out a little more hahaha
1:32 - 2:07 u nailed my favorite part of this levels song. amazing
Never in my life would I have thought that R&C would eventually see this much love and attention poured back into it, it's been a long time

This is incredible it's just on a whole different level compared to the other stereo remakes. Please I'M BEGGING YOU do oltanis orbit - gemlik base.
