  • December 19, 1982 - Cliff Levingston was drafted 9th overall by the Detroit Pistons in 1982. As a high flying rookie, he struggled to find a spot within Scotty Robertson's rotation. However, when provided with an opportunity, Levingston most often took advantage. His two game stretch in mid-December of 1982 likely served as the most productive run of his Pistons career. Against the Nets, Levingston scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Two days earlier, in the footage shown above, Levingston went for 18 and 9 against in a decisive win against the Boston Celtics.
Following his second season with the Pistons, Levingston was packaged alongside former Wichita State teammate Antoine Carr in a deal with the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Dan Roundfield. Levingston would hit his stride in Atllanta, averaging 9 points and 6 rebounds over six productive seasons. Levingston then served as a backup for Chicago's first two championship teams in 1991 and 1992.

I believe another nickname (from Detroit) was "house."
As in brick house. He didn't have much of a touch.
