Collector Trophy Guide - All 15 Items - Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX

- To get the Collector trophy/achievement in Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX you have to find all 15 collectibles throughout the 22 stages. There is no level selection in this game, so you must find them all in one single playthrough to get the trophy. Here are all the locations of each item and which stage they are in.
*WARNING* The item in level 12 is MISSSABLE. You MUST go into stage 12 with at LEAST 200 coins and purchase the helicopter. If you lose the helicopter before getting to the collectible you will have to start a new game and collect everything AGAIN!
Finding all 15 items will unlock the Collector trophy.

This was a fun nostalgia hit from the master system days.

Just wanted to add that the Bike in Bingo Lowlands can be retrieved without the helicopter (also useful if you want the stingy achievement in the same play-through) you can climb up all the way to the top and destroy the boulders one by one while falling.
You just need to break away the top block and keep the one near the ground in order to reach that section, then (I recommend to save time) go to options then in the accessibility option enable reworked controls to break the blocks leading to the bike easier. OP is correct and saves you from backtracking if going for all trophy/achievements.

Collector was the last trophy I needed for the platinum. And for anybody wondering, these two trophies both popped for me on a playthrough with infinite lives enabled.

If you crash the helicopter just exit to the main menu. It will put you back at the start of the level.
It's definitely a challenge from my original Sega Master System child hood game. I pretty much die at the first castle boss. Plus I like how you can change it to the original too it takes you right back to the old days.

The forest fucked me up. Just like back in the day.
At least they did us a modern convenience of only kicking us back to the start of the level on a game over. Remember the original - game over and if you had no continues, it was all the way back to level 1.

wow this is really cool! Yeah I thought #3 looked like a ring from Sonic as well, but I don't know where most of these references are from.
@@UnbrokenOdds Tbh with these references being so super obscure, you can really tell JankenTeam were massive Alex Kidd fans as a result. Even the complaints about the game seem to boil down to them making it a little too like the original!
I'm genuinely stumped still on the candyrose but it's bound to be some sort of reference to early Sega, a previous Alex Kidd title or at least something either Merge Games or JankenTeam worked on in the past.
There's actually some Sonic nods aside the Ring. In the first battle the background looks like Marble and some stage of the Peticopter looks like Green Hill.
The candy rose is possibly a reference to Bayonetta where rose lollipops are a prominent item in cutscenes and gameplay
Oh, and whilst the dog collar itself isn't a reference as far as I can tell, the PlayStation 4 achievement you obtain from getting the item is, being 'Altered Beast', a game which itself had a reference to Alex Kidd himself and his player 2 in The Lost Stars 'Stella'.

I’d say easier simply because getting a game over doesn’t send you back to the beginning of the game anymore.
Thank you again I had to come back again for the collectables as I'm doing the Ps5 playthrough now which just leaves the stingy trophy to go now cheerio.

I prefer the original but this game is still awesome, just wish I knew what trophies are void by infinite lives :(
I my review I said that all of them where but It seems i was wrong and heard you can unlock all of them in infinite life mode if you find out this is true please let me know. I thought about going back and cleaning up.
Yeah I saw that same message and it scared me off of trying that mode so I'm not sure
Love this game I completed the game without using the infinite lives but in doing so died a million times lol. Are all the other trophies unlockable using infinite lives please as I dont want to go through that final castle stress again with 3 lives 😂
Honestly I'm not sure, I did all of them not using the infinite lives because I was scared they wouldn't unlock

What is the purpose of these items? Are they just relics? Super great to be playing Alex kid again after 29 years though

By the way, for those who may encounter this, it will be useful to know that everything is quite simple - you need not the first octopus (behind which the secret level is hidden), but the second.
@@CookieFlash yeah sorry man I didn't read the comment correctly ( was drunk sorry lol) but yeah I remember I messed up by thinking it was the first octopuss
There are 2 octopus in the level, you need to hit the second octopus not the first one that pops in the beginning of the level. The second one later in the level gives you the collectible.
So basically you got to get these items in the 1st play through because it's not a save file and it loads at the last level.
Yes you have to get them all in one play through (not your first) but from start to finish you need to get them all
@@UnbrokenOdds Right. That's what I meant 1 play through. Now if I wanted to play another game I would lose all those items I got. It's the only game I know that does this.
I think it's because they were being faithful to the original, sometimes that can be annoying though haha

ok, i ended the game without using this mode and i was missing 2 items.
@@2gamerseumconsole856 It does. Collector was the only remaining trophy I needed for the platinum and I got it and the platinum yesterday with infinite lives turned on.

If you check the video description it has links to all fifteen, I missed one my first time through and didn't have good recorded footage of the others when I got it
