Hi Dennis, after a little persuasion I have the jack and tools in the right side of the boot like yours. Thanks again for a great video.

The compartment to the left is supposed to be for a first aid kit. When I bought my Corsa I opened it to investigate and it seemed to be empty. Was just about to close it up again when I spotted something that looked out of place, in the bottom corner nearest the rear light. It turned out to be the lid of an unopened bottle of Vauxhall oil. Nice little surprise! It fits quite nicely in there, it doesn't rattle about and there's no risk of it falling over.

Ha ha I'm going senile. I kept saying Astra when I meant Corsa. My brain hurts.

I've also just bought a two-year-old Corsa, Dennis, and your video does help. Thanks.

i’m not sure how big your kit is that you brought but try fitting the spare the other way around so you can put things inside the spare with the bolt kinda standing up like so. or put the stuff in first and then the spare ontop housing it and then screw it on.

I have recently bought a Corsa 2013 and my inflatable repair kit is stored on the right hand! I did however manage to get the dealer to give me a spare wheel, so I just need a jack, where did you buy yours from ? and did it come with the foam insert ? Cheers.

Hey Dennis I used you video to purchase the jack kit that sits on the right side of the boot from a well known auction site, thanks for the video, any tips on how to get the polystyrene into the gap would be appreciated. I tried a couple of ways but did not want to force it. Then I’ll be off to buy the full size spare (195/55 16) for the car. Well known auction site seems to sell the spare, genuine Vauxhall are very rare.

Thanks. I found it easiest to put the left hand side in first, as it's smaller. It does take a bit of wriggling.

Thanks for your video, now I know. Just found out that the flat tyre i had today could not be resolved as looked in boot and no jack kit. just an inflatable kit that would not have worked with the tyre burst I had today. now ive got to get a jack kit somewhere so that i can deal with it if it happened again. Thankfully some nearby people were able to help me and went and got a jack so that i could get back on the road. what the heck are vauxhaul doing with this pump up kit that dont work and no jack?

Okay I'm confused. On the CorsaE forum someone was saying that if you fit a spare tyre you have to also replace the carpet with a loose cloth one because the original stiff one will no longer fit. They say that even space savers cause problems.
But that certainly looks like a full size spare and a board floor to me lol. Perhaps they're trying to cram the tools in as well?
Edit: ah, I think they're on about an alloy. Do they take up more boot space?

Do you know if the reverse lights have a fuse and where it is .

Vauxhall are such cheapskates not providing a spare wheel after you've spent £10k plus on a car. Also generally abysmal after sales. I came here looking for a video on how to use the jack but found it entertaining nonetheless.
