    We love this pineapple corer. It’s incredible, so easy to use and no waste. We should’ve gotten this years ago, we would’ve eaten more fresh pineapple. I can’t wait to give one as a gift.

    No need to remove the handle to get the pineapple off the shaft. Just take a sharp paring knife and cut the pineapple (downward) while the tip of the knife touches the metal tube. You'll be able to slide the fruit off as individual loops. Then you can eat them as is, or stack them and cut them again into smaller bit size pieces. After that you can easily remove the handle from the tube to wash them.

    I love this tool but you don’t want to punch through the bottom. Also don’t eat the core. It actually made of a hard fiber and can cut your mouth.

    • @kompassorpigo7600
      @kompassorpigo7600 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It can't cut your mouth you eejit, it's actually the most nutritious part of the pineapple.

    Got one from tomorrow's kitchen, use once, the pineapple core got stuck in the column, core did not stay with pineapple, wonder what did I do wrong, I may cut too deep on the bottom?

    • @DiyRick66
      @DiyRick66  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it depends on the ripeness of the pineapple. I have had the core get stuck multiple times. I just use a handle of spoon,fork to push out.

  • @someothername9462
    @someothername9462 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does it require a lot of strength to plunge it in initially?

    • @DiyRick66
      @DiyRick66  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Just light pressure & turn.

      @@DiyRick66 Thank you for replying. I spent a couple of hours this morning trying to FORCE the peeler down, and it just went in by an inch or so. Maybe my pineapple is not ripe, and hence very hard? Anyway, I'll try once more tomorrow! Great video, by the way!

      @@DiyRick66 I cut my first pineapple with the cutter today! It cut beautiful rings.. I'm quite surprised! And you are right - it doesn't take too must effort. Thanks again for your video, and your prompt response.

      Allen mcdowell well the purpose is to get clean slices free of eyes. sure there is some loss of flesh but that can easily be retrieved with knife.

    SUGGESTION: Next time, keep it straight. If you want to get it out of the pineapple easily, once drilled down, slice down the side of the pineapple shell, before removing contents upward, it will reduce the suction. You could even slice it on both sides, provided you don't want to use the outer husk as a decorative glass for a fancy beverage or as a fruit salad holder, to be thrown out, after use.You're not supposed to go throught the bottom. You're supposed to stop when you hit the hard bottom.
    Terrible and very sloppy job of your review.
