I’ve been living “full time” as female for over 6 years. I started my public transition about two years before I was officially on HRT. It wasn’t easy but it was made easier because I lived in and area where LGBT where mostly accepted. I still have anxiety about being in public and “passing” as female, partially because I spent most of my life living as male.
I also still hesitate to use public bathrooms unless I’m in a safe place.
Good luck to all my transgender sisters and brothers out there
The road isn’t easy, but it’s much easier when we support each other.
Nothing in life worth doing is easy.

Sexi Suzie - i am a woman now have woman mind. I first try wearing my sister panty and bta when i was 18 yrs at home only. My sister saw me wearing her panty and bra She scolded me and
my.mom asked her to allow me to wear. My mom later bought for me 3 pairs of bras anf panties to wear. Since then i wear bras and panties when i go oit with her. She told her friends i am her daughter. That encouraged me to wear female clothing, makeup, use perfume bought by my mom. She loved me and wanted me to be happy as a female. Its not easy to be a woman unless.you have make up your mind to trans from man to female take estrogen and female hormone.

The journey to become a female is tough but worth the sacrifice and overcoming obstacles esp. going out meeting people when I am dressed as female. I am now convenient going out in female dress.and.makeup.-Sexi Suzie Amina.

Same. My facial hair, and brow bone cause me the most dysphoria. Having to shave every morning is such a chore, and if I'm going out after work, I have to remove my makeup, shave again, and put it back on. I'm saving now for laser hair removal. I can never get color correction to look right, I have really fair skin, when I use orange to hide the blue shadow it mixes in with the foundation I put over top of it, and makes it too dark.

I know this is an 8-year-old video, but the part where you were talking about learning to walk like a female made me remember something from my past and was able to make some connections. I remember being told by one of my friends to stop walking like you're gay. His dad is kind of a bigot, but snapped out of it, and later had a gay roommate. I go into my kitchen and do the walking exercise and realized that's how I've been walking for a long time. I think I've been unaware of so many things during my lif, and now that I'm seeing these things, it makes more sense.

Casey, you are an inspiration that i wish i’d found decades ago (perhaps twenty years before the start of youtube would have been nice).
Anyway yesterday i saw the specialist in my clinical chain that teaches all the other physicians about HRT.
He asked me how long i’d been dressing: 1-3x/week the last ~18 months, hiatus before that with history going back to my late teens in the early 1980’s. (That’s full clothes and makeup public appearances.)
he asked my goals: to blend into society as another woman.
he asked what i’d accomplished to reach that goal so far: 105 hours of electrolysis before laser hair removal was developed, 9 or 10 sessions of laser hair removal, all of that facial and neck area.
my first voice lessons cane from the book “ how to be a woman though male” (c) 1987 by Virginia Prince published by Chevalier Publications.
Resources were more scarce in the 80’s.
I didn’t see your checklist until after my appointment by day and a half after - - but my nails were painted my hair was French braided (I would only call my hair mid length because I had grounded out longer than the length I’m wearing it now and I really do miss my long hair
I put together a fashionable outfit that was modest, covering my skin from my toes to my neck, and out to my wrists yet also concealed padding.
my weight in the doctors office was 228 pounds. That included 40 DD bra stuffed with a pair of kneehighs and kilogram of pinto beans. I have a friend who used to use water balloons until she had a leakage problem and had to make up a quick lactation story on the spot… I’ll take the extra pounds on the scale and continue with pinto beans. In fact I may be adding to my “breast forms” soon. just to get my bras to fit better.
The doctor signed himself homework and me homework… He’s checking the formulary to see what my insurance covers in terms of feminizing hormones… And he asked me to send him a research summary on the name and gender change procedures for the state I live in

For walking, I would also recommend that you focus on keeping your feet more aligned and your legs closer together. It sounds silly, but it might help to walk while imagining that you're holding a marble between your butt cheeks. Remember that you as a woman should walk more with your hips and not your shoulders the way men do.
As far as feminizing your voice, remember that women do not use conjunctions nearly as much as men do. Women are also far more expressive. For example, notice when Casey speaks her voice is very emotive, it changes tone within a single sentence. Also, words should be fully and properly pronounced and vowel sounds should more rounded. For example, when practicing words with an "O" sound, look in a mirror and make sure that your lips are almost in the shape of an "O" as you're saying the word. Further more, certain consonants should be softened when spoken, such as the soft consonants like the letters "F" and "S". Then finally, please understand that a feminine voice is not always about the pitch of your voice. If you try to go from a baritone to a soprano you will very much sound like a falsetto and no one wants to sound like anything other than their true selves. When speaking, try taking your voice up half an octave, or just ever so slightly upwards and use the tips that I've previously mentioned. This will take lots of practice and you can do so in your car when driving or when you're home alone. What I did was repeat speeches that I knew by heart like The Gettysburg Address, or The Preamble To The Constitution, or The 23rd Psalms. Remember to practice, practice, practice and eventually you will find YOUR voice.

I've been using the ending slideshows from Fallout: New Vegas, DLCs and all. Ditto the in-game books from Oblivion and Skyrim (i.e., The Lusty Argonian Maid).
I never considered "F" and "S" to be soft consonants. "Soft" implies "voiced" to me. Maybe it's because I'm a bit of a language buff.

The best guide out there for voice is by Zheanna Rose, or TransVoiceLessons. It's very technical and complex and will take a long time to understand, let alone to even practice, but once you get over the initial starting point, you'll realize that it is possibly the best voice guide out there, and can be used for anyone, whether you're transitioning, using it for voice acting, or just to troll people online.

Hi Casey, As a MtF girl who was living openly for over a year before going to talk to my doctor I think your advice is great, going to the doctor and saying, hey ,I'm living this way "now" , can you help. Is alot more effective than going in early I think.
I was cheering you on when you were talking about the huge change in quality of life that the laser hair removal can provide. Its the single biggest positive effect on my transition and quality of life for sure.
learning to communicate with my voice differently is also very important to me,, I may consider doing voice lessons if I get fund it. One thing that occured to me is how I love hearing women who sing a little when they communicate and how they soothe and energize others with thier beautiful voices. like yours. For me voice is just another way to share beauty, caring, and playfullness so I try to reflect that when i speak to others. I feel that connecting with these emotions I want to share helps guide my voice.
Dancing and yoga stretching has the been the enjoyable excersice movement to connect with female energy as well, don't forget to dance :) ,, thanks for sharing :)

Eyes steady, or searching? Fast, frequent blink, or slow. Study the voice: not just pitch, but speed, sentence length, and variation of tone.

I'm living in Japan, so I've been researching a lot because I think it'll be much harder for me to go on HRT while living here. I want to be prepared before I visit the doctor to ask to start HRT.

thank you so much for doing videos like this. i'm so lost in starting my transition even though i've identified as genderqueer for the past two years. these videos have really helped me figure out what i can do for myself to feel more comfortable with my transition. i didnt realize how much of a struggle this would be to accept myself as a woman. but your videos have been helping a lot and i just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To the truth, what you say is of great importance and gives you the time to adjust to perceiving you as the woman you want to be.
This is the best method of gentle transition from a man to a woman and not to a shock therapy because the therapy can be negatively affected.

Casey, you are a wise and beautiful woman. Being your best version of yourself is all that anyone could aspire to. I’ve been living feeling broken and not knowing what steps to take next. I even went into a masculine job like firefighting to attempt to “deal” with my feelings.
It’s like my body and spirit were and still are out of step. Getting them in step with each other is all I have ever wanted.

Laser hair removal on the face is a must, it is so permanent that I would need to talk with someone before I do it, not having it done does make presenting more of a challenge, I hate five o'clock shadows. Presenting is a MUST, everyone must DO IT! As far as walking goes, I think it helps to wear heels or platform shoes(Something that you like.) and everything just falls into place. It was easier to walk like me when I just decided to let go, after falling in love with it, from doing this, when I'd walk back to my car after work. I'm sure you would agree that all these little pieces make such a big difference. I don't think I need to work on things very much, I guess I'm still in the process of just letting it happen, the hard part is that, once I have something, I can't let it go........so I keep it, going back to not being me is not an option. I know people see things in me, and they know, so what and if they don't like it, they will have to deal with it, it would all happen anyway. ( .^_^. )

Will be purchasing a Tria laser for DIY hair removal. They are around $450 and I have seen tons of good reviews. Why pay a small fortune for someone's time when you can do it yourself, at your own pace, in the privacy of your own home?
While my body hair is rather fine for male body hair, I have a thick beard :-(
Not sure how I will look in heels. I am very tall and will have to learn to make my own shoes regardless. I am inclined to not give a crap as I have met many natal females who were taller than me!
I have been getting stares my whole life because I tower over the crowd so I'm pretty confident about just being me.

  • @13kilam
    @13kilam 5 ปีที่แล้ว

I started off getting diagnosed with inattentive adhd and my doctor said that the medication would not do everything so i needed to exercise. I have a high labor gardening job, but I also started a new exercise routine to follow my dr's instructions. But i quickly realized normal exercises were boring for me and so I bought a skateboard. I hadnt skated in a few years, but the adhd medications adderall, tenex, and strattera (and now i dont need adderall) were really helping me understand that i could really add technique into how i practiced skating. I found that to be a technical skater, i needed a lot of toe, ankle, foot, calf, thigh, glute, pelvic floor, hips, core, lower back, shoulder, upper back, and chest strength and control-- ambidextrously too. When I started a bunch of exercises that were used for Ballet, my first thought was, 'omg ballerinas have legs and feet of steel if they practice carefully.
So, as i opened my hips for skating and i got really flexible again, I realized i was also building some good looking cakes. After deciding i wasnt crazily attracted to myself, but i was sculpting a sexy feminine body on accident, I kept thinking about how i always felt that women in romantic and lesbian porn looked like they were having some of the best sensations on the planet and looked care-free, but also totally in control on the scene while getting paid well af. One time i decided to watch a scene in a semi-splits position and then I realized that the male penis is just a long clitoris and sex feels better when i think about my genitals as an extension of female genitals. I even thought that it would be really easy to have great non-penetration lesbian sex if i kept stretching and skating in my life. That also made me realize that if i stretched and exercised enough for the splits, i would be really good at skating, yet i didnt know that it would also make me pretty good at walking in heels for the first time since i was a toddler lmao.
So when you say, find a line and walk along it, i was laughing bc i think of skateboarding as a balance beam with wheels that i jump on, roll with, and flip over. I need a lot of balance for skating, but not even as much balance as when models do a cat walk strut in heels and in wild new fashion. It is no wonder why i really think i can be an androgynous biological male and a gender fluid two-spirited trans lesbian without hormones or surgery, since i accidently chiseled a small feminine core, hips, and booty on my small framed male body from skateboarding to go along with me being in the itty bitty titty committee ;)
The only thing that held me back from being comfortable with my shy, quite, and sometimes bubbly but smart femininity is that i didnt know i could be a trans women with tomboyish style and still have a preference for certain mixed-feminine women and trans women. I was also diagnosed with the inattentive type ADHD at 23 bc of my grad program but i was labeled gifted and was in magnet classes before college yet i never felt smart enough like other kids in the program but somehow passed easily. Im pretty sure if i was treated with female inattentive type ADHD as a kid, my gender and sexuality wouldve been easier to talk about by now. But i guess things happen in certain ways for a reason.
But, this is the thing i have gender dysphoria about. I wish i wasnt so good at masking everything that was wrong with me when i was a child. I did this to the point where my parents think im an angel but also wonder why i smoke so much cannabis. And I barely know why i masked either but now i have a feeling that i was so good at masking and forgetting that i was subconsciously mimicking coping strategies i learned from observing people and things around me so i could fit in. I was so adhd-pi and so unfocused that i couldnt even be the true me or even try to explore and learn about me bc i was only focused on trying to fit in with all the socialization and school stuff around me until 2 and a half years into a grad program at 23 years old. I did well enough to pass as neurotypical and masculine, but ive burned out from being a chameleon so well and my adhd treatment, mostly because of strattera, is helping me understand the root of my spiritual and sensual being, my unique gender fluidity and my attraction to women in a shy feminine lesbian way rather than a creepy male way. And this is also why i feel on the fringe of LGBTQ, but more comfortable when i listen to how high functioning ASD/AFAB asperger people talk about gender fluidity, non-conforming, and non-binary orientations.

Another thing I would add: therapy is also helpful for a lot of people in that even if you "pass" well and have overtly feminine mannerisms (and don't need to wait long for hormones), you might still have general concerns or other mental health related issues (body image, realistic expectations, internalized trans/homophobia, etc.) on top of transness that need to be addressed as well. I had already been on hormones for a year and wound up in hospital because I had untreated depression, and although I'm glad I was able to start hormones when I did rather than waiting another year (especially since my providers weren't the most up-to-date in their trans knowledge to begin with), for some people (especially if you've suffered trauma or have little family/friend support), finding a therapist you click with is so important for long-term support beyond just the referral for hormones, and I wish I had that advantage early-on as well.

In the UK the waiting list to get referred to a clinic is like 5 years at the moment. If you go the private route you can be seen in about 2 months but it isn't cheap. First you got to pay a joiners fee of £195 and then a monthly subscription of £30 there after for this one private clinic's website I looked at. The good thing about going private though is that you don't have to see a theorist. You can if you want but it isn't compulsory. Prescriptions cost £10 each or you can buy your prescription through a pharmacracy.
The other good thing about going private is that you don't have to be referred by your GP. You can self refer yourself. This is good especially if you don't want to tell your doctor.

The voice is the hardest part for some people. I studied vocal music so this is not a big deal for me. Pitch is overrated and you can have a passable voice as long as you speak from above the Adam's apple with the right color and inflection.
My big hurdle is my height (6'5")and necessitates I become seamstress (already know how to sew) and shoemaker.
I would suggest you check out Stef Sanjati's makeup tutorials to learn how to make your face look more feminine.
And remember, everyone has a different rate and quality of physical response to hormones.
Nutrition is absolutely critical. I consume a lot of all organic smoothies which contain complete nutrition. It is better to have 5-6 small meals per day.
Keep in mind your body is essentially going through puberty again. You need extra protein, vitamins, minerals, so even with an excellent diet, I still take supplements.

Everyone's bodies react differently to them. Also not everyone desired/needs what hormones offer to be happy with who they are. Hormones are a 100% optional step in transition. That's why I always recommend you do your research. HRT doesn't only have positive effects.

    Was the voice lessons expensive?

Very. But it was 100% worth it.

WERE the voice lessonS (plural) expensive? WAS the voice lessoN (singular) expensive? Either way, I love her deep voice, very relaxing, unlike many screechy "feminine" voices that only raise the hair on my neck. My Godmother had such a nervous, terrified, high pitched voice, I thought my head (and hers) was cracking apart when she spoke. Not conducive to close encounters! Congratulations on your great progress. Why not make a video of your walking? I notice that since taking Tango lessons, (our instructor often demonstrates walking ON a perfect narrow line, not staggering back-and-forth across it), I now am conscious of my balance, and see too many swaggering, clumsy gaits (on men) that are only a put-off. Maybe they only need to lose a bit of weight? OTOHand, you look beautiful.

I love listening to your voice. Sorry, that was such a superficial comment .....I just added this 6 months later > You are so rational and mature with your advice. You sound like someone who is much older. Rare to hear such wisdom in someone so young.

Awesome advice, thank you. Ive literally been going to the gym for years just to feminize my body with “girl” workouts. Ive been obsessed ever since I found out I could make my butt big with squats. Ive been shaving my face and my body for years. A few years ago tho I started getting regular body waxings. Even more recently I started getting my face waxed too, it hurts like hell but the results are so much better than shaving. And Ive always wanted to grow my hair out like a girl but never had the confidence. I would let my hair grow for a month or 2 but then end up getting a guy hair cut because I didnt want anyone to get suspicious. About 2 years ago I said screw it and committed to letting my hair grow. My hair is longer than its ever been right now and Im loving it. So just like you said, Im pretty much already transgender. Im already doing everything within my power to look like a girl and Ive been doing it for years before I even realized what I was doing. I was always very slim and delicate for a guy. I was born with feminine qualities. I always wondered if I was meant to be a girl. About 10 years ago is when I started to embrace it.

hi Casea, I just found you, thanks for your advise. btw you're HOT, we others have to work hard to be feminin. Of course thinking and feeling like a woman is very important. ( love the voice).
