I'm a trans woman as well. I've been transitioning for for 2 years. And been on HRT for 1 year. I don't regret taking that step and staying true to myself. In fact, I'm an old subscriber. I remember watching you're videos and you're journey here on youtube! It's good to see you back, and see how successful you've been! Not to mention how more beautiful you've become over the years! I'll be honest and say, I only watched this video out of curiousity of what you had to say, and I was not disappointed! You go girl!
Thanks Casey. I know for myself, I did start with research and then started with a gender therapist where after 5 sessions she offered me a letter to start hormones where I turned it down the first time just cause of that I wanted to make certain that this was me. I saw my gender therapist for a year before starting HRT. To this day, even being on hormones, I still go see and talk to my therapist and it does help, cause there is more to it while you are on hormones. My therapist has helped me out with going through hormones and making sure that my mental health is good. My therapist has no problems with letters for surgeries for me or anything I need. The main goal is that lets keep Amy happy and make sure that she feels good about herself.
I told my mom a few weeks ago that I’m thinking about transitioning she was super nice and supportive about it. She was asking me questions today like what if you regret it and stuff like that and now I just feel kinda bad. I’ve been thinking about everything for like two or three months including that but it just kinda hurt to hear it from someone else.
Make sure you don’t rush any step! Talking to a gender therapist can help you feel confident about your decisions. Having your mom support you is amazing. Celebrate that 🥰🥰🥰
Hello Casey! You may or may not remember me commenting on another one of your vids, but at age 33, I have finally been started on estrogen skin patches; My official “E-Day” is 9/12/2020. Truly exciting. This follows after sooo many years of denial and trying to run away from who I am. I was not aware of there even being a name for it until I was about 21 or 22 (when I first heard the word “transgender”), and even then, I fought hard against it, thinking it would pass, and with the “I am taking this ‘issue’ with me to my GRAVE” attitude. But now, I am determined to eventually to be able to embrace who I am... I just wish I could have done so as early in life as you have. It’s quite the journey that lies ahead for me, but I know I will get there! Cheers!!! 🍺
I am so happy for you :) I hope you have an amazing journey (I started a bit older than you but much happier now than I have ever been). Sending all the good vibes and lots of love xx
Casey, this is an amazing gift to us trans girls! I love you, and your channel, and I am so going to follow this series. I am very excited for the next episode to drop!
Thank you so much for making this video series. I’ve been publicly out since the first of this year and on HRT for 9 weeks now. From what you described as some of the videos in this series will be exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Thank you, im excited, happy, scared, terrified overwhelmed and feeling more normal the more I become Stephanie. Its been along time. Soon to find an hrt doctor. 🤞
Wish These types of videos had been around years ago! I flipped and flopped many times before finally going full time last year and aside from medical stuff it’s all been so straightforward now. If anyone is thinking about trying then go for it! But do get advice! ❤️👍
This video is so great! Thanks for all the information you're giving 💜 I think It's very important to know that all transitions are different and valid, there's a lot of diversity and diversity always sume , never rest, also you looks super pretty 💜✨
Love your videos. Im going through MTF transition but I'm in very early stages. For me I have known I wanted to be a women from the age of 6. Im 37 now and can't wait to live as the gender I am inside.
Looking forward to watch this series. I'm right at the beginning of my own journey and I'm looking everywhere to find sources such as yourself that provide valuable and supportive information on the subject.
I've tried, 3 times since 2010... Getting a little further each time. I'm on my 4th attempt now, seeing a psychiatrist in Nov. to help along the way this time. Still presenting male, but adopting more mannerisms of the feminine. At this point, 29 yrs young, i just really don't care about what others think, I have to do this for me. Eventually, if it's what you really want, you'll get it done. Like Casey said, the worst thing you can do is rush it. Just evaluate your specific situation because there is no recipe for this. I'm here for you, if you ever want to talk =)
Is the person's perceived inability to pass as the preferred gender, a reason not to transition? If so, do you think there are ways to alleviate dysphoria without transitioning?
That is a really good question ! I think with enough will anything is possible but a gender dysphoria professional can help (costs quite a bit privately in UK ~£600 but it has helped me massively). I would love to hear Caseys thoughts x Thanks again for the videos x
“Passing” has been a harmful term to make people feel less than and it shouldn’t scare you out of wanting to portray your most authentic self!! Explore and find things that make you feel better in your own skin, such as trying out some nail polish or makeup or new and different clothes
We don't have public safety in our country, especially being a white trans women. I know it's a sensitive issue at this time but we are experiencing racism at the highest order in my country of birth. I need to seek asylum in another country to live... Thank for you channel Casey! Love your videos! Excellent content!!
My hair is growing in great, but i got terrilbe facial hair, and all around body hair, how can i help get rid of this in the time being before i do electroyisis
Waxing is suppose to help keep hair away a little longer but there are a few at home hair removal devices like nair. I’ve never used one but might be worth a try.
Its frustrating to adjust I struggle with my voice im getting better though. There are certain mannerisms that have come naturally. I have a masculine face. I just want my face not to be so damn masculine
OMG, I’m so into this. Have been struggling all my life which has seen me live with depression and shame.
