One of the things I love about miniature painting is there are so many different methods and styles. This is a style that I have never really tried. Thanks!
Currently waiting for my first bottle of exile blue and i am def gonna try and follow these instructions. Awesome work. Simple yet inspirational. Thank u
Man this looks sick. Nice job... I quit 40k a very very long time ago. I had a Crimson Fist army. Sometimes I want to start again. This makes it not easy to stay away from it. 😅
Thank you show showing this! I’ve been looking to replicate that for my Thokt Dynasty necrons! I’ve wanted to use that method to get the blue glowing effect and that is exactly what I’m going for!
heey there dude, absolutely awesome painting and love the music at the outro. any chance you could show us how this is done with the new mark 6. especially the boltshoulders
what brushes would you recommend? and/or could you do a video on "how to use" brushes? cuz i know some brushes are really stiff when bought, do you loosen them or leave it? and seriously i've been on and off painting warhammer for Y E A R S and your videos have been a total GAMECHANGER FOR ME!!! LOVE youre videos and shorts, man!!
Awesome tutorial, thank you! I'm giving it a go and using the Vallejo Andrea Blue, it's coming straight out of the bottle like water, any advice to thicken it?
May I humbly request a tutorial for Deathwing Terminators and Deathwing Bladeguards by you? I want to paint my Dark Angels First company close to your style.
@@MaverickNicolson Its like everything, do it properly, or 'well', and the speed will come naturally. With effort equalling results, it's definitely fast. I really like this method.

This is especially helpful if you don't have an airbrush. :)
very true
@@PhthaloGreenskin You’ll also need to find an air compressor, and then a well-ventilated room to airbrush (air compressor noise and paint fumes)
@@MrOiram46home built cardboard cabinet with a 12V USB fan. Exhaust into hose hung out of a window.
@@dwwolf4636agreed nothing more ventilated than an exhausted box!
I painted my frist ultramarine today, looks good. New expensive hobby unlocked 😅
I was waiting for the bait and switch where the guy gets turned into a shower of gore
Very nice shiny metallic illusion
Simple yet satisfying
it's so simple yet so impressive
What do you mean “simple"? It doesn't look simple at all.
@@Dockultra i mean a simple aplication not the technique
THIS was the highlighting solution I've been looking for
I wouldnt call this easy when it involves glazing
@@sprinkleLPsDisagree. It’s a pretty broad area to be glazing. Thinning the paint to a glaze isn’t hard if you use a wet palette.
Currently waiting for my first bottle of exile blue and i am def gonna try and follow these instructions. Awesome work. Simple yet inspirational. Thank u
Yes, I did enjoy. And I think this is the tutorial I'll use to help teach my Daughter.
Very simple, very fast, yet very effective. 🤙
i didnt realise the gold was nmm until watching your other video about it. killer work mate
Great tip. Good audio. Gives a totally different look than just airbrushing. Love it.
Dude, your brush control is incredible, I'm loving your shorts. And that NMM is *chef's kiss*
Only problem i seem to have with painting things like this is i sometimes have a hard time finding which colours work best with eachother.
The alternative is to practice blending paints together. Then you'll always have a good highlight color.
The trick is you mix paints it will never really be the same, this is starting to get into the more ‘art’ side of miniature painting
@@seanfinley2069 That doesn't really work for painting an army, unless you mix a large batch.
exactly what i needed for batch painting my human blood bowl minis
This is awesome, I’d really like to see it done with black armor
I watched your how to paint video and it was pretty good and gave me an idea to how to paint but I got on tiny problem i got now figures lol
This is so great. I'd love to see your same take on dark angels

Nice job man, love these. Would love to see some more in depth video’s too.
I tried this strategy and it works very well! Nice work!

I wonder what paints I'd need to use to apply this technique to Dark Angels...
Hello! The best quick guide I’ve ever seen! Can u make the same guide but with list of colors for dark angels? Thank u in advance ❤
Your ultramarine is really beautiful
This is just what i needed to get back into painting my army :D
heey there dude, absolutely awesome painting and love the music at the outro. any chance you could show us how this is done with the new mark 6. especially the boltshoulders

Great tutorial I play dark angels but I have to try this
Simple, quick and effective..... awesome
I know isnt your focus, but can you paint a miniature of Warmachine?
A Cygnar Storm Legion will be great ❤
Best smurphs I've seen
Hey there, i would love to see this further with edge highlighting please
Would be great technique Iron Hands, Iron warriors and Nightlords.
Can u paint a veteran ultramarine (only difference is red helmet)
Could you perhaps do an easy painting tutorial for a blood angle
I want to try this style with my imperial fists right after I do a test of your grim dark imperial fist recipe
Would love to see more!
It's very beautiful and interesting!!
In the same boat with @Somedude. As a person who tries to paint highlights with no air brush, videos like these are insanely helpfull.
hey glad I could help!
Amazing tutorial, I want to paint my raptors similar but can’t really choose the paints, can someone help?
I use macragge blue for the base coat or ultramarines blue if I'm using contrast
This is sick for biginners like me
Looking good as always great tutorial
Hey I’m really new to warhammer and wondering where you get your paints? Awesome videos by the way, great help and great inspiration!
Most hobby shops have paints for minatures
Vallejo included? I’ve never heard of this company but it looks really nice
I love glazing too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn thats cool
I can't ever get the hang of glazing. This looks amazing though.
Man, I really need your play list, that music hit hard.
Yeah, give it hehe 🔥

@@alexalexandrov2083 Thank You very much, pal!
Do you have any ork tutorials for the Goff army? Having tourettes syndrome its always hard to paint my minis but otherwise they get done ish.
Your valejo paints are very matte. Are they the new formula?
Pls one of this tutorials about Dark Angels armor :)
Awesome tutorial, thank you! I'm giving it a go and using the Vallejo Andrea Blue, it's coming straight out of the bottle like water, any advice to thicken it?
Don’t. It’s perfect
@martin4275
Sorry dude, I'm hella new to painting. It's coming out nearly like a wash consistency but appears a lot thicker in the video, any advice?
@@thomasstenson350 you might have too much water on your brush or you’re just doing 1 coat. Remember two thin coats
This is amazing how would you do something like this for grey knights?
This was great
I'd love to see this for our wolf bois of Russ
Could you do this same technique for a black armour?? Like a Raven Guard or Black Templars marine. Thanks !
Nice work
Great video! if you were to use the same method but for red, which colors would you use?
FOR THE EMPEROR
Thanks you exist
How to know WHERE to put the highlight exactly? IM having trouble seeing that
May I humbly request a tutorial for Deathwing Terminators and Deathwing Bladeguards by you? I want to paint my Dark Angels First company close to your style.
What color should the bottom of the pauldrons be? Trim or base color?
Looks kinda off with the brushwork against an airbrushed base layer. Should really reapply very thin layer of the base with a brush first.
Not a fan is stippling on clean metal plating. But you do you. 👍
Good tutorial!
Awesome
Please tell me the paints for this but instead of ultramarines it’s dark angles
Can you do a Blood Angels one?
Smurftastic
Please do a blood angel tutorial 🙏🙏🙏
Or just slapchop, prime with black then grey then white and for finish just add ultramarine contrast
Lol you'll have to show me so we can compare
How did u meke it all blue before??
I thought "eh that's a lot of dry brushing"
Then you brought out the thin brush
"Never fucking mind"
Epic! Thanks!
Zenithral would be easier?
Please do one for blood angels
Can you make a blood angels version
Can you do one for a deathwatch marine?
Why does no one use oils? It's so much easier and newbie friendly. It also looks better. Glazing and acrylics can't hold a torch to oil blending.
Aren't the smurfs blue and gold?
I need a Blood Angel tutorial XD
I want to see this scheme style for dark angels.
What would these be in Citadel paints?
Bro whats with the Vallejo stuff?
How do I do this paint scheme but for blood angels?
WHAT BRAND IS EXILE BLUE FROM ?
P3
How did you get the base coat to look so clean?
Air brush
I won't lie, theres nothing fast about this, its cool as fuck though.
Its definitely fast. I think dunking a model in contrast paint and calling it a "fast paint job" is a bit of a joke
@@MaverickNicolson Its like everything, do it properly, or 'well', and the speed will come naturally. With effort equalling results, it's definitely fast. I really like this method.

@@MaverickNicolson side note I gotta ask you seem to be doing wet blending, any pointers or tips on how to learn to do that?

Bravo.
I tried these two paints on macragge blue and it looks bad, but I’m awful at painting
Can you do dark angel
Nice
Where do you get the exile blue? I can’t seem to find it anywhere
What’s paints are these are they citadel
What do you mean "Between"?
