Oh mate? Those bare arms going across the tarmac at anything above 20 mph doesn't bear thinking about. SKIN GRAFTS! At the usual 40-70mph and they'll be taking slices off of your buttocks and legs etc to repair your arms. When it's that hot I wear a fully ventilated motocross under sweater body armour top suit that is nice and cool and a Kevlar/vented dirt bike sweater all in white and it is actually not as hot as you may think. I'd even say it keeps the sun OFF your body. Not expensive either.

I think I maxed out at 30 on that ride, and round trip, even with the double trip to get my wallet, is about a mile. Basically that's my limit for no riding jacket and even then I normally wear my vented jacket. I agree, keeping the sun OFF can do as much as the airflow for keeping cool. I've got my REV'IT! Eclipse which is my usual warm weather/hot weather jacket.
It's always a gamble, even picking what level of gear to wear. But for sure, SOME gear is better than none. I'm still looking for a long sleeve T shirt with some protection. There used to be a few but the whole rating system for Europe made most of the companies ditch them because they can't meet ANY of the safety standards, they would fit under the A rating. But just to protect from road rash at low speed they're perfect. A "lined" or light hoodie is just too much these days.

Riding or even driving a car on public roads is a gamble. The motocross body armour is actually very cool. place a summer weight MX white top over them and it's good protection.@@Remymoto
